Service dogs not wecome. I am letting everyone know on any site I can about this. I just went to the China Buffet today. I took my new service dog and they broke all kinds of laws. First they tried to hide my son and I in the back room, ( against the law, you are not allowed to seperate a person because of thier service dog) then they became rude when I said no. They still hid me way in the back saying, some customers may be alergic or not like dogs. I don't care I am legaly there to eat. When I was getting my food they came up and asked me to take my dog back to the table and leave her there while I got my food. (against the law, you can not treat the person any diffrently than others) if I didn't need my service dog with me I would not have taken her. When I asked to see the manager they said there was not one on duty on weekends, right have you ever gone to a restraunt that doesn't have a manager. I am trying to find out how to contact their main office
I hate this place, but my husband loves it. So, I'm stuck. They find more ways to do chicken. Sometimes the food is fresh, sometimes not. I think it's too expensive. I don't understand why this area can't have a decent sit down Chinese restaurant. Everyone cooks Beijing style and I like Hong Kong style (using bean sprouts). I'd just as soon have Panda Express then go here. But, that's my opinion.
Although the food was good, the hostess while I was getting my food from a serve yourself food bar two feet away from her, and two feet away for the stir fry counter was clipping her finger nails over a trash can. Well, how do we know one of those finger nails of her’s didn’t fly off into one of the food tray for the stir fry or onto the food bars I was getting food from, besides being the most disguising thing I’ve ever seen in a restaurant before. I had to say to her, “that’s disguising, you’re working and this is a restaurant” and she looked at me like I was so foolish. PLEASE that was disguising. What were next her toe nails? It makes you wonder if the hostess clips her nails right there in public by the food, what are they doing in the kitchen with the food we pay to eat. NEVER EVER GOING THERE AGAIN and I have reported them to health department. Eck.
I have been to this buffet many times and have been pleased in the past. Lately, as recent as last night, I have been disappointed in the quality, taste and availability of some of the food items. Last night many choices were not available as their pans were empty. I waited over 1/2 hour for them to refill the supply Bok Choy, but it never happened. The Kim Chee was oily and tasteless. This is at 6:00 p.m.!
The food that was available wasn't particularly fresh tasting.
I am very disappointed. I'll wait a little while before trying the place again. Hopefully things will improve.
This is a great value. The sushi is freshly made and they do have a variety. Some of the food is very good while some is mediocre. All in all if you choose properly you get a great meal for a good price.
We just ate there yesterday. The food was delicious, hot, nicely displayed, clean around the steam tables. But, that s the only area that WAS clean. Our table was sticky, the bottoms of the chairs we sat on were dirty, the tiled floor was dirty with brown streaks like it had been mopped with dirty water, and not recently. My husband saw through a kitchen door where an employee poured soapy water on the floor and left it there for awhile. The concern is that the hygiene conditions in the kitchen where food is prepared, if like the dining area, well, it isn t food you d feel safe eating. I think the health department should be paying them a visit. I don t want them closed; they just need to clean up their act! That whole interior needs to be cleaned and sanitized. Eating while surrounded by filth is not appetizing. We noticed that even though we were dining there at the shank of the evening, only a handful of patrons were there. The word must be out! If they want to remain open, they d better do something, and soon!
If I could rate this place a 0 I would... Food was gross. Hot food was cold and the cold food was hot.. Bathrooms were nasty.. Toilets over flowing.. All around dirty resturant... Floors were blacked with dirt...how the health department has not closed it down is beyond me.. Do not eat there..
