Dahl & Diluca Ristorante Italiano
Chefs Andrea DiLuca and Lisa Dahl serve up some of Sedona's finest Italian fare in a restaurant that is consistently chosen as Sedona's best European cuisine. Bright red tablecloths, lattice-backed chairs and saltillo tile floors complete the Mediterranean ambiance. On weekends, jazz piano music adds a festive touch. Pastas featured here include Piatto Milanese, tender linguine with spicy Italian sausage, mushrooms, peppers, onions and peas in aglio sauce. Veal, chicken and daily seafood specials are also well prepared. House wines are also available.
My husband and I tried Dahl and Diluca for the first time about 5 years ago. Since then, we have driven several times from Phoenix to Sedona just to eat there. We try to go for birthdays, anniversaries and just about every other occasion. We have never had a bad meal there. Everything we have tried has been wonderful! It is true, however, that the wait for a table is quite extensive. But, it's worth the wait!
Everything looks fine and the food tastes good, if not exciting. But if you are allergic to canola oil, as I am, don't believe them when they tell you they only use olive oil. I did and spent the night suffering for it.
The ambiance of this lovely restaurant was romantic and classically tasteful. The service was superb. The food was exquisite! I had Gamberi (shrimp prawns in a garlic parsley wine reduction) and my husband had Classico Bolognese (spaghetti with meat sauce). Both dishes were delicious. The Bread was hot and wonderful. The salad of assorted greens was also very good with homemade croutons and a very nice house dressing. I highly recommend this place for a dining experience that will please the palate!
I loved everything about it. The ambiance, the food, the service, the wine.... I can't think of anything I didn't like (other than that I didn't have room in my stomach for more).
Lisa, Jay, Andrea, and all the others were great. We sat at the bar and met some interesting customer, as well, many of whom had the great pleasure of being regulars.
Had a great choice of dishes & the pasta was wonderful. Little dissappointed in the clam sauce since only about 1/2 of the clams actually opened, would have expected more since it's considered a good resturaunt.
