20090316 It was a very quiet Monday night at Coco's.
There's something about ice cream parlor pink and large panel windows painted with prime rib and fish special signs that sits wrong with me.
I had a Thai chicken salad, and it was decent. I had a slice of sugar free apple pie and a cup of coffee, both good. The service was good, the muzak was....muzak.
There was some quality about the place sitting wrong with me. Maybe Coco's management has lost it's sharp edge. Maybe the economy is bringing a personality change to the solid chain restaurants of the past. Maybe the Applebee's, Red Lobster and Olive Garden within two miles hurts Prescott Coco's business. Maybe I'd eaten nothing since breakfast, just walked two miles and expected more. I'm not sure.
It was decent. I spent $17.00 for a Thai salad, piece of pie and coffee.

Re: Visit to your Huntington Beach Location
Order Number: 0178
This evening I took my wife, our two teenage daughters, our adult daughter and her adult boyfriend to your Restaurant for dinner. The following experiences occurred. We arrived at 7:00PM, and finally walked out at 8:50PM.
1) We had to wait over an hour to get any part of our order.
2) One of my daughters received her meal about 10 minutes before anyone else.
3) My wife’s meal had too much pepper on it
4) I ordered the Prime Rib dinner, but after a 30 minute wait, I was informed the baked potatoes were all gone.
5) Bread was served after my one daughter already finished her soup.
6) We had to ask twice for additional Blue Cheese Dressing.
7) We had to ask for refills on all our Ice Teas
8) After one daughter ordered her Desert, she was informed that her order wasn’t available now.
I than asked to talk to the shift manager, where I than voiced all these issues. Her responses were nothing but excuses, and she offered me, just me, a piece of pie. Our waiter was very attentive, and holds no blame to his service. Our adult child is a waitress in a chain of Restaurants, and my father owned over four different Restaurants in his lifetime. My wife is a retail manger of a Toy Store, and I am an executive at a Target Store. We know the value of Customer Service, and understand dealing with the public can be difficult. We also know that feedback is very important, weather it’s good or bad.
In closing, our experience was very poor, and we may never visit any of your locations again. We require nothing from your corporate office. We just wanted to let you know what eating at your Huntington Beach location was like from a customer’s point of view.

The service at Coco's was excellent and food was terrific. The food came fast as we waited for a short time of the period. The server was great. They have great smiles and great personality. The scenery looked over the mountains in which it looked very lovely. I would recommend the travelers to stop by and enjoy a coco's finest.
