Hi, I am a restaurant owner with 9 establishments accross the mid west. While on a recent business trip, I decided to pick seligman, Az as my center point of stay during my trip. Of course being a successful business owner myself, I did my homework to assure me of a pleasant trip. After choosing West Side Lilos in seligman, az as my first dining experience of my trip, and finding the food, atmosphere, and especially the service exactly to my liking, I chose not to dine anywhere else. I started my trip over the weekend, so my first meal was mid to late morning, A great time if you are unsure whether to have breakfast or lunch. My waitress, who had all my undivided attention, giving me the suggestions I asked for, finally decided that I would enjoy Brenda's famous pork green chili with the rancheros breakfast. She really gave me a good laugh when I commented on how many questions are involved in ordering. She jokingly said she gets paid by the word. Ill have to remember that to let my own employees use, with her permission of course. I had heard about the large portions, and how they keep the customers coming back. sometimes I would see lots of fries, and then not as many, as other orders went by me. Personally, I say heap them up, potatoes are one of a restaurants lowest cost foods. Who cares, if they arent all eaten. I even heard a woman say she wanted to try the homemade potatoe salad since her husband ordered fries, that there would be plenty to share, well he was one of the ones that didnt get very many. Alas, after what seemed to be a very short wait for how busy they were, my breakfast was served. It definately was not over rated. It was fantastic, tho, my food was a littled crowded on the plate, as was a gentleman next to me who was trying to cut is ham on top of his eggs and potatoes. I know every restauranteur does things their own way and for a reason, but I do think that anything that you can put on a large plate and have an inch or less plate showing around the food, should be served that way, in all its glory that it is a feast well worth your money, whether it is a six dollar meal or a 12 dollar meal. I close in saying that I hope you didnt take this criticism to be negative or harsh, definately not meant to be. I will return to your establishment, and reccomend it to anybody heading your way, or taking a worthwhile detour. Thank you.
