Coffee Pot Restaurant
With more than a hundred omelettes alone, it's no wonder that this place has been named best breakfast in Sedona multiple times. It has also garnered the best overall bargain award. This award-winning cafe and gift shop has been featured nationally on The Food Network, The Travel Channel, The New York Times and ABC News and has been a favorite local hangout for nearly half a century. There is a cozy Redwood Patio (open seasonally) and their big breakfasts are served all day, every day. At lunch the menu features classic American cuisine and authentic Mexican specialties. The extensive-but not expensive-menu includes more than 300 selections. Full bar service is available in the dining room and patio and they also have a charming souvenir shop.
It's hard to say if this place is truly the 'best' breakfast in town. We ordered home fries and an avacado, bacon, cheese omellete. The avocado ruined it, and normally that's my favorite part! It was extremely overripe and tasted like it had fermented - gross! The homefries weren't cooked well at all, they seemed more of an afterthought. Instead the next day for breakfast we tried the Blue Moon Cafe, much better in my opinion!
We arrived about 7:00 a.m. and found the entrance blocked by a huge delivery truck. Undeterred, we maneuvered around it and found a spot to park. The waitress who seated us was less than happy to see us, but provided a table nevertheless. The menu is extensive, especially if you like 101 kinds of omelettes. Eggs Benedict were quite good. Bacon and eggs, excellent, biscuits kind of cakey. I'm not ravin', but I'd go back--especially since the breakfast selection in Sedona is not limitless.
We live in Sedona and frequent The Coffee Pot Restuarant. AWESOME! Great breakfast, fast, friendly service ALL THE TIME.
The owner is extremely organized and offers a great breakfast at a great price and the best pancakes and waffles in all of Sedona. you never have to ask for anything. The tables are set up with everything you need before you get there including water.
The rest of the restuarants in Sedona should follow The Coffee Pots Lead and maybe they wouldn't struggle so much for business during the slow seasons.
I would highly recommend The Coffee Pot Restuarant. We always go early because it get crowded because it's that good.
Busy busy busy, but the good restaurants are. It lives up to it's name. As a local I don't eat there often because of the crowds, but it is definitely good breakfast. Cafe Jose is just as good buy without the wait. In Safeway plaza.
Go early to avoid the wait. Appears to be one of the only places in Sedona to serve breakfast. Good food, although not anything really special. Service was OK. A little too kitchy with the decor and gift shop. You didn't leave hungry and it was affordable. Mediocre coffee.
We spent 3 days in Sedona. One our first morning, we saw that this place looked busy so we stopped for breakfast. It was the best! I had scrambled eggs, which they added cheddar cheese for me at my request, and they have the best grits I'd ever had. Excellent coffee too. We went back the next two days. We liked it so well we actually took a picture of the place for our scrapbook!
I've heard about the Coffee Pot restaurant for years. Recently traveled fm MI to Sedona for vacation and stopped to eat. Was not impressed. Waitress kind of rude, table condiments dirty. I did enjoy the gift shop and bought a couple items. Maybe we just went on an off day. The menu hosts an impressive 101 omletts to choose from. Probably would not go back to this establishment and would try others in Sedona.
