Only 4 stars, because--how hard is breakfast? But we were seated immediately, served quickly, courteously, and professionally. Food came out very fast. Wife liked the pancakes and bacon, I liked the eggs and sausage w/ hash browns. Coffee just OK. This place was more pleasant than Coffee Pot down the street, which I think is resting on its laurels. Better watch out--Jose is on the way!
My Son & I went there for dinner on my Birthday, I wanted good Mexican Food at a reasonable rate..... What we got was the worst Mexican Food I have ever had! A Banquet TV Frozen dinner for $1 tastes better! I had the Chili Relanos, no taste what so ever, bland no seasoning... my son had the beef Fajitas he tokk two bites & said he was full, I took it home for the Dog, you guessed it the dog did not eat it either!! The place was dirty and this was the first Mexican place that did not even give you chips & salsa.
I tried asking for the owner or manager, none was available.
Maybe at one time this place was good or maybe for breakfest, NUT DO NOT GO THERE FOR MEXICAN FOOD!
You guys have this all screwed up. Cafe Jose is located in West Sedona. Cafe Jose at the Village, which I consider to be the best of the two, is located at the map location and address you have listed for Cafe Jose. The phone number you have is for Cafe Jose at the Village. You owe it to the two owners of these restaurants to reflect their establishments accurately.
I'd be happy to write a review, especially for the one in the Village which I patronize frequently and consider to be one of the best values in the area, except I don't want it credited to the other place. I rate Cafe Jose at the Village as 5 stars, the one in West Sedona as a 4 star place. Better food and service at the Village. Correct this please.
Stopped by chance enroute to Phoenix, mainly because on Easter Sunday there were not many places open. It was crowded and there was a 15 minute wait. That turned out to be just 5 minutes and I was seated by friendly young woman, near the back. I found that not to my liking and asked to be moved to the bar. I was! Just like that! No fuss, just a smile! This gave me a birds eye view of the action! I wanted to jump in and help as they were short staffed. However, noone missed a beat! There were smiles a plenty and the feeling was great! My breakfast was YUM! and the coffee never stopped flowing! Wow! If Village Griddle can perform like that when extra busy and short staffed, then I am impressed! Rarely does one find such busy people able to retain their sense of humor and fun! Not to mention that food!!
Well done Village Griddle....you have won my heart and I cannot wait to get back!!
We went there for breakfast and it was the best breakfast we have ever had. Nice small little place with good food and good prices, also great service. We will go there everytime we visit Sedona for sure!
