Visited for Dinner, 12/24/09. Will visit again! The place was CLEAN and that includes the restrooms. Despite patrons bringing in snow on their shoes/boots, the floors were kept clean. The SERVICE was the best. My recommendation, ask to be seated in "Lupe’s," section. She took very good care of us! The ATMOSPHERE had a friendly, comfortable, homey feel and we were seated at a booth big enough to accommodate our group of four adults and two children. Two of us had the broccoli soup which we found to be hot, very tasty and hit the spot (as in real comfort food). The rest had salads which they enjoyed. Our orders arrived just before we finished the soup and salads. Two adults ordered the Country Fried Steak Dinner w/mashed and two ordered the Turkey Dinner. The children ordered from the kids menu, Chicken Tenders w/Fruit Cup, Pizza and Happy Face Fries. Now, I’ll be the first to state this is not five star cuisine. However, it was hot, cooked/presented well and for the most part, tasted good. If I had any misgiving about the meal, it would be that the vegetables (green beans) were not fresh, looked and tasted like they had been cooked too long. Definite room for improvement there. In my opinion, this was a minor factor in the overall rating and the only reason I did not give five stars. The DESERTS! Fabulous. One word to the wise if you order the pie . . . no way can one person can consume a whole serving. The pieces are HUGE. Order one and two forks to share, or plan on asking for take-out boxes. To the Pine Country Restaurant management and staff, Thank You for being open and taking such good care of us on Christmas Eve. We enjoyed our meal and visit. We will surely stop again the next time we visit Williams, AZ.

THIS IS THE PLACE IF YOU LOVE CHORIZO! and i grew up on it. i was starving and the serving was more than i could eat (and i eat a lot). the service was friendly, fast (not rushed) and hot coffee was never empty. time to leave and i thought i couldn't eat another bite, the i saw the pie's :) the only problem, what kind? i settled on double lemon to go. bagged up 2 forks, napkins and on my way. when i'm back in AZ this will be the place. MODEST PRICE, VERY CLEAN *****

My husband and I live in Flagstaff, about 30 miles west of Williams, and the Pine Country Restaurant is definitely our 'comfort' food source. We've driven through snow, wind, rain, and sunshine for their fresh home made food. I love their pies and my husband's mouth waters for the chocolate cake. We always have good service and great food at a reasonable price. Also, we sometimes meet people from around the world as well as the locals. Great southwest family atmosphere. Save room for dessert!

We just got back from our Grand Canyon vacation. We stayed in Williams and the people there were the nicest we've come across!! While driving through town, we saw The Pine Country Rest. and just looking from the outside, we new this was the place to eat! We went for breakfast and as soon as we walked it, we felt the homey feel and then were greeted with nothing but smiles and friendliness. The food was awesome! We loved it so much, we went back the next day for breakfast also! I also had the Cinnamon French Toast, and wow, it was the best! My husband had chorizo, and also had the bisquits and gravy which he raved about! They have suveniors to buy to remember your pleasant experience of their rest. in the small town. And they also have a small boutique with some beautiful things to purchase. The service was great also! Anyone passing through this friendly town has to make it a must to stop in at the "Pine Country Restaurant"! It's a place you'll always remember!

You walk into the restaurant and are greeted at the door by the smell of homestyle cooking. The food is great, portions are very generous and prices are just right. The service is excellent, too. Make sure to try one of their pies- YUM!

Great Breakfast
By JesseP, 04/10/07
We tried the country breakfast, the breakfast burrito, the huevos rancheros, and the kid's french toast. Everything was excellent and in large portions. Their desserts look great, but we didn't save room.

Oh the Pies! Great for Lunch
By Raymond, 11/18/06
We have eaten many places on our long trip out west, and this place was one of our favorites. The "hometown" atmosphere was wonderful, we enjoyed the art gallery/gift shop. The waitress, Leslie, was more than attentive. The potato salad and the pies were a definate highlight!
