Grapes Restaurant & Bar, Jerome

Larry A - Thanks for the tip. To have one restaurant get better reviews than the other says allot about the individual persons in each place. Says even more since they are owned by the same people. Either the owners are not smart enough to see the difference, or they are not smart enough to know they should care. If they switch employees between the shops then it may just be some discrimination going on from some individuals towards customers. I have been in Grapes and I did notice the later and walked out prior to being served. I did know that most of the town is owned by two or three families, which are families with each other too, so it is not a surprise that they are owned by the same people, just want to say thanks for the warning.

We spent one night of our honeymoon in Jerome. What a delightful time we had. We ate at Grapes. I might recommend the Chicken Saltimbocca. Very buttery, mouthwatering good. Excellent waitress, cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended and reasonably priced. Allen

That Ahi Tuna burger/sandwich at Grapes is quite possibly the best sandwish I have had in my life! I was absolutely shocked that it was so good, let alone being seafood in a remote location like that. Going back this weekend, to get that sandwich again!

I took my wife to Grapes for pizza last night, 11-2-08, had spent the day celebrating her birthday and hadn't been to Jerome for a while. We have owned a B&B in Prescott for just over 5 years and have always recommended our clients go to Jerome to shop and stop in for pizza. Grapes did a good job with the remodel, and other changes we noticed. When our pizza came, it was half burned and I brought this to our waitresses attention. Our meal stopped and we waited approx 10 minutes for a replacement pizza. When it finally came, Grapes had only baked half a pizza. At first I thought it was a joke, as the waitresses behind the bar were laughing. This was not a joke on their part, it was intentional unacceptable service and behavior. We are just one customer, but one less for Grapes and no more will we refer anyone to them. Not when there is a wonderful Haunted hamburger restaurant just up the hill. We haven't had this rudeness or bad of experience from any establishment since moving to Prescott 8 years ago.

We had a most delightful lunch at Grapes. Our party of four ordered the Sonoma Chicken Salad sandwich, the Ahi Tuna sandwich, the Zinburger (I think that's the right name), and the soup/mini-sandwich combo. They were all *delicious*! The outdoor patio has a great view of the San Francisco Peaks and the red cliffs west of Sedona. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. We will definitely go back! (We are Phoenicians and go to Jerome several times a year.)

Wonderful! The ambiance was wonderful, service was wonderful and the food! We ordered an appetizer that was served 4 times larger than I expected. Surprisingly, it was excellent! We had two glasses of wine, and were given great advice by the staff. The entrees were wonderful, obviously prepared by a chef rather than a cook. Some friendly locals were eating at the table next to ours, there was a money-man and his trophy wife, some tourists and more locals. Similar feeling to Las Brisas in Laguna Beach or Sweetwater in Jackson Hole. Great warm feeling and fabulous food served by a delightful and professional server. I know what you are thinking...upward of $100? Nope, our bill came to $52! Incredible value!

I love this place! My taste buds are always happy when I'm at the Jerome Brewery. The food is great. Their pizza's are wonderful, as are their sandwiches and everything else. Their beer is good too. Don't miss it when you are in Jerome.
