We both had the gyro plater, with greek salad, and shoestring fries, and it was wonderful. To our surprise, we received a homemade vegetable soup, as well. YUM! They serve greek wine, so that's what I had. My spouse just had a Pepsi. My hub asked about the music playing, which was traditional Greek. The music was soft, but enjoyed when you could hear it.
The kids menu was the usual. My kids had the big chicken strips with fries. We asked for cottage cheese, instead, and the owner said he doesn't carry it because it doesn't move. bummer. They offered us an old Graco highchair, not the usual restt style..it turned out much better to have my 2yo off the booth table and using his own tray, to play with his toy train.
The waitress was sweet and kept us entertained, and was at our table for half of the meal. She was our age and children were the same ages as ours. The meal seemed to arrive very quickly. The atmosphere is old fashion, like the owner. He's an older gentlemen with what seems a huge desire to please his customers. We will return, even if it's just for the baklava! I meant to ask if he makes it-thats a lot of work. (I've had bad baklava and this was far from) He whips up Italian and all American, to please the crowds that don't care about their health. (BURGERS AND FRIES) Very affordable for a full course meal for 4. Skip Denny's -Take the family to Jessica's! very close to Comfort Inn-where we stayed and went swimming after:)
