Cafe Jose Restaurant, Sedona

I can't believe the reviews! We ate here once and would never again. Javelina Cantina was voted the best mexican restraunt in Sedona and gets only 4 stars? If you don't like good food eat here. If you want a clean restaurant, great food and service...eat at Javelina Cantina. I assure you, as a local, that's where we eat not here.

Great Mexican food where the locals eat. We were looking for something away from the high priced restaurants downtown. Loved the food and the service! A little hard to find since it is on the left side in a shopping complex but worth the effort.

If you like microwaved nachos, soggy tacos, and canned beans cafe jose is the place for you. My family went to the one in oak creek and I could have bought the same canned microwaved awful meal at the iga next door for a third of the price. Maybe wasted it would have tasted better but sadly cafe jose does not have a liscence to sell alcohol. Anywhere else in the country I would have been fine with canned mexican food but were two hundred miles from the border. Even my cinnamon bun was fresh out of the microwave. I.wont be going back anytime soon. Adios

Great food and good prices. My boys LOVE the huge nachos. But this is more than just a good Mexican restaurant. They have a full menu of other selections as well. My dad really likes their fish and chips. Highly recommended. They have two locations; one in Sedona and one in the Village of Oak Creek. Both are excellent.

I can only agree with the previous comments. Probably one of the best in town due to consistancy, price and service. It is definitely not fine dining, but the fine dining in Sedona leaves much to be desired, (like taste). As a local, we go to Cafe Jose and Angels more than any other restaurants in town. Try the green chili burger, it's the best burger in the Valley!

I cansee why Cafe Jose located in the Safeway Shopping Center was voted "Best Home Cooking" in Sedona. The food is exceptionally good and the price are fantastic. I can't believe they can give you so much good quality food for such low prices. What a great meal value! Not only was our food exceptionally good, the service was fantastic as well. The young lady that waited on us was prompt, courteous and funny too. We had a great time while dining here. Our prime rib dinner was so good on Saturday night, we went back for breakfast on Sunday morning. The place was packed with local residents. This is definitely the place to go for locals. With good food, good service and great prices we can certainly see why. We will definitely visit again when passing through Sedona.

We had a great lunch at Cafe Jose's. We all ordered Mexican food and we were not disappointed. The service was good and the staff were friendly.

Oh my goodnes! I was very surprised at at how good this place is...and it's not even expensive. It looked like my mom put the food on the plate, (not so beautiful) but it was easily the best meal I've had in years. You have to try this place. I'm going back...maybe tomorrow.

We were very lucky to be near so many good eating spots. Cafe Jose was among those. Sedona can be on the pricey side, but Cafe Jose's pricing was very reasonable. Their food was terrific and we went back one other night to eat there again.
