I had a great time here and was glad they were open till 10pm on a thursday night. They serve a great bean dip with the chips and salsa. I had them get me a hotter salsa and it was great. the regular one is too mild for me. The service was Fast and Friendly. i enjoyed the Street Tacos!
I enjoy eating here and so does my family, they have an upbeat atmosphere and the manager came over to our table to make sure everything was fine. The food is good, not the most authentic I have had, but it is very tasty and we love their bean/cheese dip and salsa they make for the chips! It is always clean and since I had also worked on the beverage side of things (Pepsi) I know their kitchen is always kept clean as well!
This is the worst of Americanized Mexican food. The only thing that might have sparked an interest is their bean dip that you get with your chips and salsa. After you get out of this restaurant you smell lilke body odor. Every person does!
The Flagstaff location is great (Margarita chicken is marinated and very flavorful -- staff is friendly) so we were happy to see a branch built in Prescott Valley - next to movie theater. Very popular when first opened but it's still the average Americanized Mexican food served in most franchised restaurants. Decor is colorful and main dining room appears to be a courtyard in a Mexican town with 2nd-story balconies. Have been there many times with groups of neighbors which probably kept us occupied while waiting for food. But after the worst Margarita ever, we have not returned.
If you take a trip to the Garcia's in Prescott Valley, be sure and go with friends, because you will need someone to visit with while you wait for your food. Clear out at least a couple of hours in your schedule, because while the decor is cute and the chips, salsa and bean dip are first rate, everything else is slow and mediocre at best. Count yourself highly fortunate if your order comes out right, and even more so if you get it in less than an hour after walking through the door. The only place in town with slower service (possibly) is Buffalo Wild Wings, which is conveniently located across the same parking lot.
