Verona Italian Restaurant
Here's one of the best places for Northern Italian cuisine. It's famous for its chicken dishes, the most famous being the Pollo Bolla, a generous portion of slightly breaded chicken served with prosciutto ham and parmegiano potatoes. All dishes are homemade, the pastas as well as the dolces and the Napoleon Cake on the dessert menu. The interior is simple yet elegant the Italian way; on balmy desert nights, you can dine on the gorgeous patio complete with fountains and lights. The wine list is extensive with around 60 selections.
Best restaurant in town period!!! Big portions of food, great staff, clean environment, great entertainment. I love going to Verona because I know I am guranteed a quality meal. I would recommend this place to everyone!
Not good food. the marinara is made of water and tomato paste, the rice pilaf was too salty, the salad came out of a bag and was already wilted, the dressing is bad, the food is overprized and the service is not so good,. the door to the toilet doesn't close correctly, the owner's wife walks around in flip flops and a tight dress. i doubt these people are Italian, we will not go there again, ever. we rather drive to Tavolino from now on. it is a miracle there are still in business. the minestrone was water, rough cut veggies and tomato paste. who is the chef is the question...
My parents went to Verona Two weeks ago and were shocked by their incredibly poor planning and rudeness. They took reservations for only two time slots and didn't have the resources to handle the crowd of diners. My family waited and waited while other tables received and consumed their food. Finally, our poor server revealed
My wife and I eat at Verona quite regularly, at least once or twice a month. We've found the service excellent; very attentive without being intrusive. The food is excellent and the wine selection is more than adaquate. We have introduced several friends to Verona and they have been delighted with our choice. We highly recommend the Napoleon for dessert - one Napoleon, two forks!
We enjoy going to Verona, as the food, value, and ambiance are wonderful. We eat at the restaurant usually twice a month. The owners are personable and make it a point to know names of their customers. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants quality food, at a good price and enjoyable atmosphere
We had a special event planned there weeks in advance and were very disappointed by the rude and poor customer service we received from the owner. They obviously did not care to receive more of our business, which is a shame because dining out in Tucson is our favorite passtime and there are so many other better places to enjoy italian food. Try Dolce Vita instead.
Verona is the best Italian Restaurant I have tried in Tucson and we eat out a LOT!!! We hit Verona at least a couple of times a month. The selection is unbelievable and the soft live background music Thursday through Sunday makes it THE place for special occasions. The Napoleon is to die for - three large puff pastry squares with a thick layer of vanilla custard and another layer of whipped cream.
