The best meal I have ever had. Quaint little restaurant with out of this world food. My husband and I went for our anniversary, as soon as we gave our name, the host said good evening Mr & Mrs so & so, Happy Anniversary, thank you for joining us for your special occasion. The owner/chef came to our table. A little expensive, but WELL worth it for the experience.

Excellent service, expensive, but if you're out on a special occasion, worth the $. The spinach salad with marsala vinagrette dressing is awesome.

was recommended this place by my hotel. I am impressed, this is the best fine dining i have had ever. The staff was excellent and friendly. I had a six coarse meal that was perfectly portioned and delicious. My waitress also impressed me with her knowledge of wines and picked a perfect wine for me based on what i told her i liked. I prefer sweet white wines, she chose an Otis from Germany 2007 white. It was perfect and complimented my meal as well. My meal consisted of on the table with lime and chive butter, my starter was goat cheese tamale with edible orchid and guacamole salsa, then spinich floentine soup served at tableside. salad with fresh greens, arizona dates, tomatoes and the perfect amount of dressing., cranberry sorbet was next served in a chilled champagne glass, Then the entree, ohhhh, it was lamb shank with plum sause, mixed vegitables, and homemade mashed potatos that were seasoned to perfection. Last was the cherry flambet prepared at table side with lots of fire (hehe) served over vanilla bean ice cream. I was delighted to meet the owner/chef Frank Brahnam who came to talk to me at the table along with his wife, who was so friendly she even drove me to the theatre instead of calling a cab. This was the best dining experience i have ever had. Thank You

My girlfriend and I ate here for our anniversary dinner and were thoroughly impressed. We went with the Chateaubriand for Two (Tenderloin) and it was the best piece of beef I have ever tasted. Everything was prepared perfectly. The waiter was very professional and attentive- he has been working there 15 years and was like a waiter you see in the most expensive restaurants in the movies. The Cottage Place made our anniversary night a night to remember. It is one of those places you go for the most special of occasions, or just if you insist on the best service and best food around.

When they say the Cottage they mean a cottage. The food was well prepared, the service average but the price was incredibley high. Our dinner for two was over $100.00 without beverage.

Best place in town
By ,
Thanks to an informative desk clerk at our hotel, we were turned on to The Cottage Place 8 years ago on a trip for our anniversary. We live in Las Vegas where there are many wonderful restaurants, but we have to travel to Flagstaff to find THE outstanding one. Every year we come to town and have always made reservations. The one year I forgot, Nancy was able to fit us in with no problems. The food is wonderful and service is top notch. The best part of the meal... Frank's soups. Don't miss them.

Same time next year

I was curious to see if the dining experience of last August was as consistently good this August. Glad to report it is still outstanding from start to finish. My appetizer of goat cheese baked in a delicate phylo dough, accompanied by a salsa fresca and edible orchid was charming and tasty. The Shrimp bisque was flavorful and just the right portion. The wild salmon special baked in pesto with a red pepper aioli was texture-perfect and cooked just right. A Domaine Drouhine half-bottle of Pinot Noir was a great enhancement to the meal, and I appreciated their making half-bottles available. Service was enthusiastic, willing to educate, and readily available. A+ to Cottage Place in all categories. The chef came around to everyone's table to make sure they enjoyed themselves, and that personal touch should be practiced by more fine restaurants.
