Welcome to our newly refashioned website or more accurately referred to as a Blogsite. We will, as time permits, utilize this new feature to keep you posted as to what is happening. We hope you frequently check back with us and read our acoeBlogsac. We have updated our menu and information but have kept the all the same great food along with our fast, friendly service. As we have been family owned and operated since 1977 we are quite certain that you will find our ac~down-homeac2 Italian food the best that Tucson has to offer.
This is one of those places that looks great on the outside but rough on the inside. You have to order at the counter, which reminded me of a McDonalds. The place has a sports bar atmosphere, so don't expect it to be quiet. My Pizza was very good, and I had no complaints about that.
Ordered for delivery at our hotel (Riverpark Inn - which was out of almost everybody else's delivery area), and we were VERY happy with our meal! It came fast, was nice and hot, and was tasty. The Pizza was a little undercooked, but my man likes his pizza with a crispy bottom anyway and is hard to please. I got the homeade Gnocchi's, which were fabulous, and since most places use frozen ones, it was a major pleasant surprise! We also got the Eggplant Parmesean dinner, and it was excellent! Great House marinara sauce! Thanks so much, can't wait to come back to Tucson and try again.
I work near Bianchi's and go there often for lunch. I LOVE the place and keep returning. I've had the Ziti Anthony, Ziti Nunzi, Chicken Alfredo, Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, and Hawaiian Pizza. All were great and I have enough left over each time for another meal, so the price pays for TWO eats. Seating is kinda scarce and I wish they had more booths and less tables in the middle of the floor, but oh well. They need a bigger place. Sometimes service is slow but they're usually packed and trying to keep up. They give free soda refills to wash down all the yummy food.
FOOD MADE ME SICK! My husband, his cousin and I ate there on Monday, Feb. 4, 2008. My husband had the Ziti Anthony and I had the Chicken Alfredo. About an hour after eating the dish, I became sick and was sick the following day.
A co-worker of mine told me that she wished I had told her we were planning on going there because she was served undercooked raviolli and it made her sick.
I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!
Bianchi's has GREAT Pizza, but tonight we ordered a steak sandwich with double meat, double cheese and extra fried onions (mmmmmmm) and an order of fried mushrooms and the sandwich came and it was cold, had 2, YES TWO slices of steak-umm on it and barely any cheese...and NO onions!!! It was UNBELIEVABLE because of course, we were charged for all the extras!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, that was unbelievable but this next part you will be AMAZED at!!!! I called and complimented Mike, the manager, on his awesome Pizza and told him how happy we have been the other 3 or 4 times in the last 5 weeks that we have had food delivered and that the fried mushrooms delivered tonight were awesome, but that the steak sandwich was just plain terrible. I REALLY hated to complain, I am just not that kind...but I did complain as gracefully as I could...Mike was almost lethargic on the phone, offered no apology up front, I kept apologizing to him, actually...and do you know what he told me???? He said he didn't know what happened because the notes were on the order slip, that they must be cleaning up back there and they are anxious to go home...He then asked me if I wanted a credit or another sandwich delivered...I told him just give me a credit, since they are anxious to get home, I want a yummy, gooey steak sandwich and not one hurried up and made because the cooks want to go home!!! Mike then told me...WE DON'T CLOSE UNTIL 11, I WILL HAVE ANOTHER SANDWICH brought to you...CAN YOU BELIEVE IT????????? I mean, I guess I get anxious at 3:30 when I get off work at 5pm, but I certainly do not stop giving good customer service!!!!!!! Anyways, we are waiting now on the second sandwich and I will post my comments on sandwich #2 after we eat at least half of it...by the way, I am saving the first sandwich and taking it to the manager in person tomorrow night on the way home from work!
Bianch's has one thing going for it - they serve huge portions. Too bad none of it is very good. Everything is remarkably bland - pasta, pizza. The tomato sauce tastes like it came straight out of a can, the salads out of a bag, the pasta out of a pot that's been cooking it for hours. This is a highly American-ized version of Italian food, and the American influence is not an improvement. If you have a van full of hungry kids, Bianchi's will probably satisfy them, but if you like good Italian food, steer clear.
My favorite was the beef lasagna. Not only did my meal melt in my mouth but my eyes were bigger than my tummy!! I really can't say anything bad about this place.. I felt like I was part of the family as soon as I entered the front door.
Bianchi's is a great place to get a really good slice of pizza. They also do other italian foods, but it's nothing fancy. If you have a small group and you want to get the best pizza around for a really fair price, head for Bianchi's.
