The food is passable, the waitresses are great, but the management is atrocious. I purchased a gift card through http://restaurant.com (something Romo s signed up for) and the owner at first refused to honor it. After some discussion she agreed to my face that she would credit our meal. I paid the bill and left and realized on the drive that she in fact had not given us the discount. Bien hecho Ms. Romo, you lost a weekly customer over $5.
I have eaten at Romos many times on trips to Arizona. I cant say enough about how good the food was. I hope to make another trip out there soon and I WILL be stopping at Romos. Its not fancy or classy but its a great place to stop for a great meal. I'm not impressed easily but I'm very impressed with Romos. I have told many people if they ever pass through Hlobrook, Az. STOP at Romos. I loved evey time I was there which is probably ten times. Not bad for a guy yraveling from Tennessee.
Every route 66 travel guide points you to the dump across the street, but skio it. Eating the fantastic green chilie sauce over nummy burro was worth the trip to Holborrk alone. Obviously a local favorite. We'll be back.
