Description

Named for a famous stagecoach robber of the 1870s, this cowboy place is a favorite with locals and visitors alike. Wander around and enjoy more than 6,000 square feet of antiques and collectibles. Besides the saloon and steakhouse, there's also an antique store, general store and RV park on the property. This is pure 1890s Arizona! A live musical revue adds a Western feel to your meal. The menu consists of cowboy-style steaks, ribs and chicken. Big prime rib cuts and porterhouse steaks are house specialties. Full bar service is available. Opens daily, at 5p.

Don't Miss It!

The college-age singing waiters each take turns belting out show tunes accompanied by a honky tonk piano. The food is good, but perhaps not great. However, leave room for a slice of great apple pie! It is a little hokey, a little noisy, a little pricey, and a great lot of fun. The servers were very friendly, but perhaps a little inefficient. You need to experience it once and make up your own mind. And be sure to have that pie!

Sing the night away

Well if you want a singing waiter its great, and the atmosphere is fun. But the service and food were not the best. If I had eaten a salad and soup I probably would have been happier. But it was unique.

A great memory would love to go back

We stayed at the Dog Sled Inn April 2005 and Barts was recommended to us for good food but we weren't told about the students singing. What a great night. Place full of character, students serving great food and then just stopped and started singing and then carried on serving. We thought it value for money and students earned their tips. I would definitely go back if we went to Flagstaff again.

we all got sick after eating there no one bothered to ask if our steaks were cooked right it was very pricey and not worth it some people might enjoy the entertainment overall experience was less than expected

Lots of fun, mediocre food

We love listening to, and singing along with, the waiter/singers that come from the NAU music school. We therefore go often, even though the food is much more expensive than its quality justifies. It's best to stick with steaks, prime rib, or lamb chops, although they're quite pricey. The roast chicken is reheated and dreadful, and the ribs are not much better. The accompanying beans and homemade bread are pretty good. But the main thing is the joyous atmosphere and sincere efforts of the performers.

Fantastic!!!

Comfortable home like enviorment, excellent wait service, and fun wonderful entertainment. The NAU Musical Students really know how to have a good time and are really talented. Combine that with 5 star food and we can't wait to come back. A wonderful anniversary dinner. We plan on telling all who travel through Flagstaff to stop for the best dinning experience ever.

Please, give me the recipe of your Mum apple pie!!!

One of our best culinary souvenir of our trip in the U.S. Excellent meal (succulent ribs and an unforgettable apple pie). All along the evening, waitresses and cooks come on the scene to sing old musicals extracts. Very pleasant and friendly!

Black Bart's is always a favorite when I'm in Flagstaff. Wonderful food, with a nice entertaining atmosphere. I will be there for the third time this fall (2005).

Moved to Flag

I visited Flagstaff in 2004 and loved Black Bart's so much, it helped me decide to move here. Excellent place for visitors AND residents.
