With it's remodeled dining room, seating for 150, and traditional Japanese atmosphere, Hiro's makes for a truly memorable dining experience. For the sushi lover there is a full sushi bar with 20 kinds of nigiri sushi, over 40 types of rolls, and several daily specials the change daily. There is also a wide selection of other Japanese dishes including beef teryaki, ginger pork, chicken yakisoba, katsu Don, miso soup and noodles galore. Attached is a Japanese gift shop to purchase everything from a kimono to spices. The menu is reasonably priced with many lunch and dinner specials. -Herman Sims
I had a combo sushi here in May 2011. Some of the fish were pretty good, some were average. The rice was sub-standard though. The service was OK but definitely non-japanese style. I noticed two odd items on my bill and politely asked about them, upon which they were immediately withdrawn. Overall, if you are hungry after a day's hike in the Canyon, this may be a place to consider, but I have had much better sushi for the price in Seattle and in DC.
This is the best quality sushi you will find in Flagstaff, AZ. It is a family owned business that is generous with its portions, the fish is always fresh, and there is a fine selection of delectable dishes from their kitchen. The employees are very polite, professional, and friendly, and the food always arrives in a timely manner precisely to order. Best of all, despite having the best sushi in Flagstaff, they also have the best prices. If you're hosting a large party and are concerned with a tourist atmosphere then I would recommend another place, but if great food is what you're after bar then I would strongly recommend visiting Hiro's Sushi.
I think it is the best sushi in town, I've had sushi all over the us and the world, I think the only places I've found it better are places along the coast. Great place, great atmosphere, and great prices.
I can't believe the quality of the sushi at this restaraunt. By far the best I have ever tasted. It's also excellent value for the money with most items costing the same as other sushi restaraunts in Flagstaff but serve twice as many people.
