I had been wanting to try this place for a while, but now I am so sick from my dinner order (17 hours ago). The food was bad. Dirty, dirty. I will not be going back. I ordered pork and veggies, but got hardly any veggies. The food was tasteless, I think my pork was all gristle, NO MEAT. I hope it was pork, anyway. Old grease was used, I could not finish my meal. The place was old and dirt/dust was filling up the cracks in all of the booth veneers and on the decor. I was the only one there, so the waitress sat and waited 3 booths up. The crooning music finally took it's toll and I had to leave. I had high hopes, but I will keep looking for better Mom & Pop Chinese in Tucson.
Had the buffet there, and not the greatest. I do agree that it does look dirty. Would I go back? NO! I would be scared. Food was very tasteless, and hopefully they improve everthing overall for future customers.
The place may be run down and old, but I have been getting take-out from here for 12 years and have never been let down. The take out portions are great and the price is cheap!! If you eat there the portions are even bigger. I have tried other Chinese places around town, but I always end up here. I would rate this place on the consistency and freshness of the food over the location or decor. And, that they have consistently been in business by the same family the entire time I have lived in Tucson. Cheers!
Pros: Amazing lo-mein, best I've had outside of San Francisco, great sweet/sour chicken (whole chicken breast breaded, fried, then sliced). Cons: In a ghetto, hole in the wall, very dirty. Overall: Get lo-mein to go, I recommend chicken. LOVE it!
