A frequent winner of best breakfast and best desserts awards locally, this strip-mall cafe is a comfortable place to relax with a specialty coffee. Start the day with a freshly cooked breakfast or traditional European-style pastry. The Tucson Daily Citizen once referred to it as Flagstaff's best kept secret, but we're letting the word out. Hearty breakfasts include unique offerings like trout and eggs, homemade Swedish oat pancakes and the house special, Eggs Brandy (poached eggs on a bagel, topped with Hollandaise sauce). Service is friendly and attentive, and a tempting display of baked goods gives the place a homey feel.
Five of us dined - I am from Flagstaff and wanted to take some friends on a nice night out. Each persons meal was either overcooked, mushy or just plain bad. The waitress was unconcerned, and brought the chef out who was about 28 years old and attempted to tell us we didn't know what we were taking about. I am 48, I have a clue and I dine out often. This was a pathetic cusine experience. Even their wines aren't the years they tell you. The restroom was clean, which was a plus because we needed it to remove the food from our mouths that we couldn't swallow!
Brandy's decided to open for dinner just over a year ago, and what an excellent idea it was. Chef Sherman is an amazing, creative, and personable culinary master. Everything is made from scratch including White Chocolate Mango Cake!! The service is just as great as the food. Open Tuesday thru Saturday 5-9 pm. You won't be disappointed!!!
I come thru town about once a year from Texas and I look forward to eating here everytime. They offer incredible service, great quality food (which is hard to come by these days), and put a smile on my face everytime!! You haven't experienced Flagstaff until you stepped food in Brandy's!!
