Mingling with the fresh scent of pine in Flagstaff's brisk mountain air, you'll note an intoxicating aroma of coffee wafting from this coffee shop. The eclectic and cozy establishment is bustling with students, professionals and visitors from all over the world who've stopped in for just-brewed beans ground fresh on the premises. If good coffee is an art, Macy's is this town's favorite gallery. Complement your cup with a delectable from the pastry counter; this cafe is also famous for its baked sensations. Besides coffee sipping, this spot is famous for its poetry nights, Sunday morning story-telling, and opera nights.
Has to be the best Coffee and breakfast place ever. Be forwarned- this place is good, so it gets crowded. Food tasted fresh, and coffee was delish. Ordered the biscuits and veg. gravy and the homemade croissant with egg cheese and spinach. To drink we had the Macy's Special, and a Cappuccino/hot chocolate mix. Seriously would move to Flagstaff to be able to enjoy this every day!

Macy's - Flagstaff's Beloved Coffee Shop; God is One, Humankind is One and All Religions and Atheists Need a Good Cup of Joe
I chose Arizona as my home in 2005. Macy's was in Flagstaff long before I chose Arizona as my home. Humankind must be fed and beveraged, humans must work to live. Tim Macy opened his
European coffee shop, bakery and vegetarian restaurant to serve humankind and make a living.
Macy's saved my life. Actually I don't believe I'd die if forced to fast 36 hours but the words are dramatic. A few years back I had business at Hopi. I stopped by for a cup of coffee and a four muffins for my trip. The Hopi Cultural Center restaurant was out of food and closed. The delivery truck had a mishap. But I was not hungry for those 36 hours because I had my Macy muffins. I also took pity on the rez dog hanging around the back gate of the hotel. Unlike ungrateful Los Angleles coyotes who, even hungry and sick, turn up their noses at
vegetarian fare, that sleek, successful beggar dog snapped up the cranberry laden muffin like Jaws went for beautiful swimmers at night. He knew what was good.
There's a 4 x 8 foot drink menu on the north wall, a rack of a wide variety of Macy's roasted coffees on the south wall next to the 4 x 8 foot menu. This place strives for excellence in all things. I don't think you can go wrong here.
Monday night is chess night, some nights there are entertainers, and some Fridays, Macy's hosts fireside chats for people interested in the oneness of humankind and the (Gasp!) unity of religion. All are welcome. Writing about Macy's, one cannot forget Tim Macy's art photography. Black and white, color, silver gelatin and other kinds of prints display Mr. Macy's guiding principles and talents.
They make Macy's what it is and bring generation after genration to Macy's European Coffee Shop, Bakery and Vegetarian Restaurant
My husband and I just love Flagstaff and one of our favorite spots is Macy's. We are from the the valley so the need to get away from it all is usually quite needed. We were just here this past weekend and just loved hanging out sipping our coffee in the beautiful sunshine of Flagstaff, a great 55 degrees and beautiful. The staff is always friendly and no need to dress up here, they come as they are. Occasionally they will have live music that makes the visit all the more enjoyable. You have to make a stop here, you'll definatley be back. Oh, the coffee, biscotti, cookies, cakes etc. are outstanding !
Macy's is always fabulous. The coffee and food are consistently good. While pregnant I HAD to have Macy's homemade granola with fruit once a week or more! The staff is always friendly and the atmosphere is total Flagstaff Hippie. Love Ii!
This is a great place to enjoy a mix of a great variety of foods. An excellent place to sit and have a deep conversations with your friends. There is something different about this place, something spiritual.
Every review I read seemed to be a different experience, so I tried Macy's myself. It must have been a bad day. The coffee was actally burnt, the food not bad, but the service and atmosphere was horrible. The staff needs better cleaning rules.
Maybe because we are from Washington and are used to our little quaint coffeehouse, but this place wasn't that much. It seems too commercial, and pretenious. Oh well, home is always better. They should have their waitstaff shower.
We waited in line for 20 minutes in line, for so so coffee, a pastry that wasn't fresh, and a small crowded seating area. If they hired more help, or had more attentive personal it would have been nice
