Mingling with the fresh scent of pine in Flagstaff's brisk mountain air, you'll note an intoxicating aroma of coffee wafting from this coffee shop. The eclectic and cozy establishment is bustling with students, professionals and visitors from all over the world who've stopped in for just-brewed beans ground fresh on the premises. If good coffee is an art, Macy's is this town's favorite gallery. Complement your cup with a delectable from the pastry counter; this cafe is also famous for its baked sensations. Besides coffee sipping, this spot is famous for its poetry nights, Sunday morning story-telling, and opera nights.
Loved the old decore and the ramshackle set up. Loved the old cake display cabinets and even better the fabulous on the premises made cakes and food. Liked the mix of people there and the unusual paintings etc. What a fantastic place to eat. Reasonable and vegetarian too!
my family discovered macy's at the end of a road trip, we ordered a tablefull of vegan goodness and shared. it was heavenly! wonderful wonderful food. reasonably priced. organic options. nice natural casual atmosphere. very child friendly. if im ever in the area im deffinitely going back.
Maybe because we are from Washington and are used to our little quaint coffeehouse, but this place wasn't that much. It seems too commercial, and pretenious. Oh well, home is always better. They should have their waitstaff shower.
While visiting family in phoenix, traveled up to Sedona & Flagstaff. Stopped at Macy's for coffee & muffin. What a treat! The absolute best coffee ever, just so sorry I didn't buy a pound or two to take home. Also enjoyed the experience of the place and mixture of people, from college students to elderly.
I'm so glad we stopped there at the suggestion of friends. Wish we had one of these in my neighborhood.
Has to be the best Coffee and breakfast place ever. Be forwarned- this place is good, so it gets crowded. Food tasted fresh, and coffee was delish. Ordered the biscuits and veg. gravy and the homemade croissant with egg cheese and spinach. To drink we had the Macy's Special, and a Cappuccino/hot chocolate mix. Seriously would move to Flagstaff to be able to enjoy this every day!
Discovered Macy's in 2003 traveling through Flag on the way from Phoenix to Moab. Turned out to be a real hidden treasure with great coffee and great atmosphere. Returned in 2005 while traveling from Vegas back to Kentucky, during the early January snowstorm that dropped 30+ inches of snow. Macy's was open, even at 6:30am with all the snow. The great Macy's coffee made the snowy slow drive east out of Flag a little better.
