At Salsa Brava, your food is always made to order... All of our hand-made salsas are made fresh, right here, every day. We use only all-natural, antibiotic- and hormone-free, boneless, skinless chicken... as well as trimmed top sirloin and lean pork. We hand-cut 600 pounds of fresh tomatoes every week. Our cheese is from Wisconsin, always aged... We use only 100 percent cholesterol free canola oil ac" no lard, no MSG, ever.
We saw Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives on the food tv network. Guy got our taste buds going, so when we were staying in Flagstaff, there was no question about going to Salsa Brava. The wait staff is good, the salsa bar is fair. The food is good, not great, but good. Complaints we have include, the cold chips and the margaritas--not that good. The stuffed sopapilla is very doughy and not as hot and crisp as Guy proclaimed. We prefer shredded beef in our chimis: Brava uses chunks. They use more dark meat chicken than white. It is a fun experience all the same to get your kicks on Rt. 66.
Worst service in Flagstaff, EVERYTIME I've been in this restaurant have to wait over an hour for food, even at lunch, what made it worse is that everyone who were seated after us got their food before us, wound up walking out do to their inability to serve their patrons.
This Mexican style restaurant is the Salsa Brava East with is on the east side of Flagstaff on Route 66. Was very pleasantly surprised with the food, prices and setting. Very good Marguaritas which actually have liquor in them. A regular one is only $3.50 or specialty ones with premium liquors a little more. Excellent fresh Salsa bar where you choose you own Salsas from mild to wild. I think they make there own chips also. We had Carne Adovada (marinated roast pork) and Carne Asada (charbroiled steak) both under $10 with most of the dinners in the 7.50-9 range. Both excellent with fresh ingredients. We shared a large fried ice cream for dessert but sorry, no flan here. A plus is live entertainment (a guitarist on the Friday night we went). Nice place to go with friends and take out of town visitors.
Named for a famous stagecoach robber of the 1870s, this cowboy palace is a favorite with locals and visitors alike.
