Chef and owner Jonathan Landeen's culinary style is as distinctive as his trademark mustache. The restaurant's five southwestern-style dining rooms are kept cozy with beehive fireplaces and regional art and accessories. Ask any local where to go for buffalo or ostrich, and this place will surely be one of their top picks. Exotic ostrich and buffalo star on a menu of meaty entrees, which also includes steaks, prime rib, roast pork loin and several chicken and seafood dishes. This place opens at 3pm from Monday to Saturday. And on Sunday it is open at 5pm.
I sent my kids to take there mom for her birthday dinner 11/112011 service was trribly slow half before drinks order was taken hour for the meal people try to have a nice occasion and get bad service at a pricey place just another buck for jonathan a blown birthday for a family
We went to Jonathan's Cork recently. We were seated in a very small room next to a table of eight very noisy people. We could not carry on a conversation. Also we were next to a door out to a patio. Waiters constantly passing in and out next to our table. Food was very good, but it was a very bad experience.
My husband went here for our 2nd anniversary and it by far is the best restaurant we have been to. It was romantic and quiet and perfect. We have recommended it to friends and are planning on going again. Love this place!!!!! Fantastic food, wonderful service.
We ate a Jonathon's tonight and have eaten there beforw and enjoyed it until tonight. We were trying to have a nice quiet dinner but there was a table that had more than their share of people stop who were sitting outside, and the noise level was just beyond what we should have to endure. When we let our waiter know that we wanted our remaining food prepared to leave and our order to go raady, and we moved to the bar for less noise (yes the bar), the chef Jonathan came up and said they could move us to a less noisey spot, I was furious, we were not the problem, they should have told the ignorant ones at the table next to us that they were disturbing other diners, but it appears that ignorance is fine in there. Won't go back and will not reommend to anyone. I guess if the chef decides to stop and talk you can be as ignorant as you want. We try to patronize our local restaurants and not the chains but in this case I could have gone to Macaroni Grill and be treated as well.
The only reason I am giving such low ratings is so that others will read this and possibly the chef himself to see how horrible the situation was tonight. The server was great.
Fine dinning in a quiet and casual atmosphere. I recommend steaks and cabrilla fish, escargots or shrimp. Do not forget to ask for Tomatillo sauce (it is a poem). The Mud Pie is a must. Fine wines and spectacular martinis. Prices are very good.
