The Hummus platter is Excellent. Veggies are fresh. You get alot of food.
The breakfast special has salty potatoes,.but the price is cheap cheap.
I was disappointed with the curry chicken meal. Something wasn't right. It was curry chicken over brown rice with broccoli and it was very rich. Must of been the sauce.
I don't even think thats on the menu anymore.
This gem of a find is the best kept seceret of down town! I ate @ the cup last week and could not belive my tounge. the duck confit is melt in your mouth with crispy skin and a tangy tart blackberry sauce that balances the spicy potatoes perfectly!
I have eaten here several times and still not sure what to expect when my food arrives. It is different and good, but not the best Tucson has to offer. However the Hotel Congress is a happenin' place and a little bite to eat at The Cup Cafe and a drink in the lobby is a great way to start off your evening in the desert.
Went on a road trip w/my sister and this was on our list of must-sees after seeing it on $40 a day with Rachel Ray...and it was GREAT!!!!
We had desserts and coffee...service was fantastic and there was a plethora of desserts to choose from. Literally, a rotating rack of everything imaginable! We shared the carrot cake and the triple-chocoate something or other cake...WAS OHHHHHH SO GOOD!
My husband and I eat out every weekend and this is one of our favorites. We live a good 30 minute drive from downtown, but the menu, food, and atmosphere is well worth the drive. While the food and menu strike you as more upscale (like something on River or Skyline), the atmosphere is laid back and fun.
Stop by for a drink first at the Hotel Congress Bar (part of The Cup, I think). They have really great cocktails and do a lot with infusing fruits into vodka and tequila and other spirits.
Great food and wonderful people watching while you're there.
