China Phoenix Restaurant
This is a good place for the busy business traveler looking for a Chinese lunch. The emphasis is on fine food and fast service, not elaborate decor and ambiance, so don't expect dragons and pagodas, just a friendly and efficient staff. China Phoenix serves above-average Cantonese foods, both in terms of quality and price, offering the whole works from Sweet and Sour Pork to Sesame Shrimp in the $8-$19 price range. The house special dishes include deals like Beefsteak and Pepper Onion and Vegetable Hot Pot. Domestic and imported beers are available, as is a small wine selection; expect to pay $3.50 for a glass of house wine
Terrible flavor and worst service, I will definitely not go back and would not recommend anyone else go. Don't waste a dime in there. Also, from the Attitude of the wait staff and the owner, they don't seem to care.
I first have to say that from the outside it looks like just another bad Chinese restaurant. Boy was I wrong. I love Chinese food have to say that I was very impressed with the food. The egg rolls were greasy but they are deep fried. The orange peel chicken was excellent as was the BBQ pork fried rice. I will definitely be back to try other menu options and possibly the dim sum. The prices are average and portions are big (equals lunch the next day). If you love Chinese food you owe it to yourself to try this place!
Rating a restaurant is a subjective thing. In our opinion, my wife and I were very disappointed since we heard this restaurant had authentic chinese food. Most people in Tucson don't know what real chinese food is. Our food had excessive oil which is not healthy. The next time you eat there, please take note of this.
This place really knows how to do it right. The fried rice is the best I have ever had and the people who work there are always so nice and helpful. I like to take my orders here to go and they always get the order just right. The portions are huge - we always have leftovers and the food is so good!
Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. they have a really great dim sum. Of course, this is not San Francisco, but they do a darn good job. Try the Chinese brocceli (huge-bring some home) and whatever looks good on the bring around carts. Really fun. Best with 4 or more people.
We are fairly new to area - based on reviews, tried lunch. Hot & sour soup OK. Ordered beef lo mein - got dry chicken (leftovers?) - Kung Pao chicken mediocre.
Presentation mediocre. 'Greeter' unfriendly and curt. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
I have been dining at China Phoenix for almost 10 years. I have cravings of their Beef Fried Rice, and Orange Chicken, and Beef Lo Main. I recommed this restauant to everyone i know looking for great Chinese food.
