Tohono Chul Park Tea Room
North Tucson's Tohono Chul Park provides one of the most stunning desert botanical spectacles in all of the Southwest and, within the park, this quaint tearoom offers a memorable dining-in-the-desert experience. Set amidst the lushness of centuries-old cactus and succulents, the brick building houses a slightly feminine looking (it is a tea room, after all) but not frou-frou cafe. You can also dine out in the splendid natural surroundings on a courtyard patio. The menu can't begin to compete with the setting, but it includes a good selection of breakfast items, quiches, salads, soups, sandwiches and a few hot entree specials.
HOLIDAY LIGHTS - OVER RATED. Not to metioned I paid $60 to take the family and we saw the whole thing in about 15 mins. They hang white lights in the trees along the paths and charge $10 a head to walk under them. Forget it. We took the kids to the childrens area and the water feature wasn't even working. Yes there was a small music band, but that was not every entertaining.
If your really want to see their lights - park, and go walk round in front of and in the green house / gift shop. Save yourself $10 a head.
It's a rip off! Put the money in your gas tank and drive around seeing christmas lights. Much better deal!
Love to go to this place on Sunday brunch. Sometimes you have to wait a little bit, but the food is worth the wait. The way they make the food is a little different, but it is GOOD! Always had great service, and enjoyed myself with a lot of good tasting food. Then went for a walk in the a arboretum after.
This is a Tucson landmark and a must-try! The food and atmosphere are both great as are the prices! We have been here several times over the span of many years and the experience has been and remains consistently excellent.
The Tea Room is an excellent stop for all guests to the city. Especially after a day of site seeing or a night on the town. The ambiance will make you forget you're in the middle of a bustling city. You can't hear a peep of the city once you enter the park. Nestled inside a desert hide away with peace and tranquility abound, this place will let the stress creap away and leave you refreshed both physically and mentally. The food is really great, and of course the tea is amazing. Enjoy!!!
