The wife and I had jury duty the same day so during our lunch break we dropped in this place. The food came fast and at a fair price. My wife had a piece of pizza and a salad and I had the lunch special which was an Italian sandwich and a side salad. I think the bill was around 18 bucks. Most likely we will go back.
I frequently eat at Enoteca and in my opinion it offers the best food in downtown. I highly recommend Enoteca for the lunch crowd and for a delightful time consuming evening meal starting with a salad, moving to an entree, then finishing up with a scrumptous dessert. The daily lunch specials have a dialed in portion at a fair price. Give it a try.
Don't go here. If you are downtown for the courts or work and only have so much time to eat, don't go to Enoteca its changed and is awful!!! Nothing is fast, service is bad. Can't get a Slice togo or Salad in a hurry. If you have been there before the change its not the same.
I have been to Enoteca twice now. The food was OUTSTANDING, the portions were perfect, and the wine complemented the food beautifully. The owner was very warm and inviting, and truly made us feel at home! I have gotten the eggplant dish both times, and it is truly delicious. I also have gotten the risotto and with it's slight hint of citrus, it is fantastic! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this restaurant, have been back already, and have been raving about it to everyone! Check it out, you will not be disappointed!
Wow the review before mine, you must now someone who has taken over. No one is that nice at how bad everything is going. Yes sure I know things will get better with time, the owner and the staff just don't know what they are doing yet (which means don't open til your ready and paint does not mean fixing problems). I have been going to Enoteca for a long time and have seen the last ownership change, I didnt even know it had changed til about a month later. Oh yes on the comment about the owner and staff being courteous don't go during lunch the dark hair girl does not know how to serve and she may be pretty but come on, and I don't like waiting for an hour to get my food when all I have is an hour for lunch. Another thing if you are use to getting a good portion of food for the money, its changed but they didnt change the plates. So I am getting the same size plate as before but smaller portion for more money. If I wanted a home cooked meal I would stay at home it would not cost as much. So yes keep up the good work and you will lose people that like coming there. Also Hire someone that knows what they are doing or a manager.
In all fairness, after extensive repairs that the previous owner left the new owners with, I'm surprised they pulled it off with such success. The waiters and owners have been nothing but courteous. Given a chance, this restaurant will be the success it was years ago. Rustic home cooking. Homemade meals take awhile - order ahead. The 4 dishes we sampled were fantastic. Fresh dough and cheese made at the restaurant was delicious. If we have concerns, the owners went out of their way to please us and bring us samples. Congratulations to the cooks/owners on your fantastic public reactions. Finally, somewhere to go hang out and have a home-cooked meal :-)
The food here was the highlight of a recent trip to Arizona. Our food arrived quickly and was of such high quality that I was pleasantly surprised and nearly licked my plate clean. My husband was told sea bass wasn't on the menu (when it had been written on the chalkboard outside) so he settled for grilled salmon. It was perfectly prepared (probably farmed) and quite tasty. I had Fettuccine Alfredo with prawns -- a dish that is so easy to do poorly, but Enoteca had a master's touch. The pasta was a little more heavily sauced than I like, but it just meant I had to eat a smaller portion. The prawns were plump and properly cooked. Our salads were fresh, and the turtle cheesecake my husband had for dessert was dense and tasty. Well worth checking out if you're in the Congress Street area of Tucson.
Enoteca offers a small, cozy atmosphere with well spiced increadablely flavorful Italian dishes that are a treat for pizza lovers of any age. If you're not driveing anytime soon after, try the wine fights as well!
