The freshest ingredients on a menu that changes twice daily. Loved the experience and had the pleasure of meeting the chef/owner as she mingled through the restaurant.

This restaurant is a little overrated but the food was nicely prepared. I was part of a large crowd so I might be a little biased. The decor is just a little too chic for my tastes but who cares right? Your menu isn't really a menu. It's on a chalkboard and I actually liked that. It seems one of the main items they have is the Poca Cosa. I liked it and I liked the salad but they had too many shaved carrots. All in all though, the food is good and the mole sauce had the right combination of accents (nutty) and is worth trying. Give this place a shot. Your opinion might be better than mine but I don't think I will be a regular. Again, not bad but not something I crave.

Food isn't as good as it used to be. Still fun to go to though.

Awesome dinner. Wonderful main course of pulled pork! Nachos were great as well, only thing was the salsa. It just had no taste to it I guess. I'm not really a food blogger expert but overall it was an awesome meal, excellent service and a wonderful atmoshpere in downtown Tucson. I didn't know this but it's just not a kid place. Leave this one as a dinner date with the husband or wife.

I have lived in Tucson many years. I have been to Cafe Poca Cosa quite a few times. Most recently for friends' birthday dinners. I find the food to be presented beautifully. I also find the place to be somewhat unacommodating. I asked for a separate check, they would not do this. They will, if you ask, split check evenly amongst the diners. This has left me twice, with a 50$ check for my dinner and drink. Also, they would not allow the salad to be served to me on a separate plate. Silly. But, that tells me how important the presentation is. I find it to be overpriced for dinner. I would come back for dessert and drinks because I enjoy the ambience here. It looks like a fun place for a date.

I love this place. I've never had a bad experience here and I find the food unusual and delicious. I've tried dishes that I didn't expect to like and found them fabulous. Chef is fantastic. I always take out of town guests here. Love the atmosphere, a little urban for Tucson which I find refreshing. Staff is friendly and attractive if that matters to you. It's just a fun place with great food. Healthy choices, fresh ingredients. Get the Plata.

Simply stated, this restaurant is overrated. One might be able to say that their dinning experience was imaginative, flowery, retro, chic, or expensive; but, definitely not great. Maybe I would give this restaurant a better rating if it was in Wasilla, AK or another one horse town; but here in Tucson, competition is tough--there are far of better choices

On a recent trip driving from Dallas to LA we passed through Tuscon during lunchtime and stopped. We parked by chance in the garage that CPC resides below. I barely noticed the front door as we walked past. We then passed the patio where I saw the most amazing dishes being served. I had to go in. The staff is friendly, attractive, and fun. The food was exceptional. I have a degree from the Culinary Institute of America, so I know my food. I will say it was the finest mexican/southwest meal I have ever eaten. Innovative, imaginative, and prepared with care and love. I would consider flying to Tuscon to go back. The margaritas are not quite as good as Frontera Grill in Chicago, but dang close. I like this place. Can you tell? If you are ever in Tuscon you gotta go.
