BUFFALO CHIP SALOON, Cave Creek

My parents and I went for dinner. We had the BBQ platter and the Friday fish fry. The food was barely warm. I question whether they cooked those items previously. Also, the cowboy beans tasted like they could be turning for the worst. As we were walking out, I noticed that hamburgers were being freshly cooked on the grill. That might have been the better choice based on the other reviews on here, OR you could just drink and have fun.

I brought visitors from out-of-town to the Buffalo Chip Saloon a few weeks ago, on Friday night. I was just planning to share one of my favorite restaurants and cowboy hangouts. But, we were in for a special treat. Sheriff Joe made an appearance, which was a nice surprise. My friends were able to get photos with Sheriff Arpaio and now they have bragging rights of meeting the toughest Sheriff , with photos as proof of it. : ) It was pretty impressive for my guests, and made me look like a hero (as if I d planned the photo-op). My friends enjoyed the food and the bonus entertainment. They said they want to eat there again when they visit next time. They won t have to twist my arm. ; )

We ve always enjoyed going to the Buffalo Chip on Friday night s for the food, band, and bull riding. However, last night turned into a travesty when the owner decided to turn it into a political rally for two of the most corrupt politicians in Arizona history. He stopped the band to allow Russell Pearce and Sheriff Joe Arpaio take the stage to campaign for votes. It was hard for them to speak at first because the crowd was chanting for the music to play and most were clearly not interested in hearing them. We walked out and did not spend another dime. I don t think the owner realizes that not every patron holds the same beliefs and he shouldn t mix politics with business, especially when people are out to have a good time.

I really use to enjoy the Chip each Friday night for the Bull Riding and cold beers. Great atmosphere. Just went last Friday night and noticed service was poor. Stood at outdoor bar trying to buy beers and was ignored for more than 10 minutes, no joke. Looked like they had some new young girl bartending who didnt look too experienced. Anyway, went to inside bar and was helped right away with very good service. Parking can be a bit rough, and this last Friday noticed a fence up between Harolds and the Chip. Never seen that before except for special events. Big screen was gone as well, hopefully they will put that back up as well as put the ATM back.

If your from out of town and don't like to have a good time don't go here, stay in the city, we here in Cave Creek like good times, good fun loving people and don't mind a 4 minute wait for food or the 2nd beed.

My friends and I decided to visit this place and from the moment we walked in the door, we were treated rudely. Our waitress didn't want to wait on us and was very rude whenever we asked for something. It was reported to the manger who frankly didn't care and sided with the waitress. We will NEVER come back to this place again.
