US Egg Breakfast & Lunch Restaurant
A meal at the U.S. Egg is like a meal at your own home or rather at our own home. We use only the finest ingredients such as fresh fruits and vegetables and no preservatives. Our food is nutritious, from our homemade potatoes and fries down to our daily made soups, sauces, and freshly baked muffins. All of our food is extraordinary, and everyone should experience our Protein Pancake at least once. It's our signature item!
On weekdays like today (Monday) it's not too busy. I have been on the weekend, it was busy but they got to us pretty quick and had decent service.
Today I got the half and half, half protein pancakes and half a skillet. It was still twice as much food as anyone should eat so I took half home:) Next time I am just getting the protein pancakes. They are the best ever, my date turned me on to them the first time we went. There's an abundance of bllueberries and some yummy granola and cinnamon to flavor.
The skillet was ok. I am not really a skillet person, I think if I could have gotten half an omlette instead or just ordered a side of eggs and sausage I would have been happier. You live and learn and plan for next time (which there will be one).
Orange juice was fresh squeezed.
The coffee was good. Normally I have to put a ton of flavored creamer to doctor my coffee but this was tasty with just sugar and cream.
All in all it was a good experience, I had breakfast, lunch and snack all for one price.
Friendliest restaurant in the area. Great variety of food, from healthy to hearty. The waitstaff are great. I often have meetings here and they're good about putting us in the quiet booths. They never neglect us, nor are they bothersome. My favorite indulgence is the omlette with bacon and avocados. The low-carb menu is also excellent!
I did not myself like this. I had hoped it would be a nice restaurant and I especially went over there. I don't know where the people eat usually that like this restaurant. The review in New Times says that people stay in line to eat there on the weekends but they do that.
It was a very mediocre meal and it is a little pricey to me as if it were supposed to be good. The waitress was calling me hon, which is not very polite but I didn't say anything. It was the usual not very good breakfast of too light yellow eggs, bad cheese thrown together, greasy hash browns not hot, (end of day) and a mostly stale english muffin thrown in. Oh goody. I was so glad to get this. I ate it anyway being hungry. mediocre coffee not great. It is the kind of thing, how can I say this nicely that cheap Mexican places do and are taking over all over LA so it is hard to get good food and Phoenix.
Oh yes, there was hardly anyone there but this was still too much for them. I was seated near - I was going to say something but what can you do - I was so starving by then and maybe had to sit there. It was a Mex guy older server - seated near a Mexican family enjoying themselves with the kids fooling around to listen to.
jThe old guys white around there will eat anything I know.
