I have to agree with the two positive reviews. I had some friends introduce me to Yao's recently, and my wife and I both loved it. The staff was friendly, the food was good, and overall the restaurant was clean and enjoyable. I will be going back.
I was a little suspicious about the single bad review this place got (it seemed more likely that the reviewer was just angry about something rather than *everything* about the restaurant being bad). I have to say, this is the best Chinese food I've had in Gilbert. I've been to many local Chinese places here, and have been disappointed by all of them so far. This one is by far the best. The soup and the main dishes are the best --- skip on the egg rolls.
Also worthy of note --- the service was very good! The waitress was attentive, they modified my dish as I asked (I always order my dishes without sugar), and the decor was nice as well. I don't know what was irritating triadadt (the angry reviewer, below), but it seems that all of his / her complaints are unfounded!
First off, the service stank! I attempted to get the attention of the waitress
numerous tries. She was literally just ignoring me with a smerk on her face!
The food was cold, the place literally smelled awful, by the time I left the place
I felt disgusting! ) = NEVER EVER GO THERE!
