La Placita Cafe
Established by Manuel and Nellie Amabisca, La Placita opened its doors on May 17th, 1962 and has served quality Mexican food to the residents of Buckeye, Arizona ever since. Manuel and Nellie developed the menu based on Amabisca and Valdez family recipes, many of which are still favorites on the current menu. The original building has been expanded and remodeled to accommodate more dining rooms, a lounge, an art gallery, and space for catered events. La Placita has withstood the test of time and will continue to be a Buckeye landmark and institution for generations to come.
Mexican style restaurant offering nice dishes such as Quesadillas, Salads, Burritos, Steaks and Desserts.
Really nice family-run restaurant. Live music on Saturdays. Room rent for meetings possible. Big bar where long drinks are offered. House specialities on the menu.
La Placita serves Mexician food for those people who like their food bland. Their limited Mexican menu is bland and boring and their service borders on the indifferent. La Placita's saving grace is that they serve reasonable chips and sals, boast a good drink selection and an expansive area with outdoor seating. Just don't go there if you want an authentic Mexican meal!
