Experience the taste of tropical home-style food at the Havana Cafe. Located on Bell road, the restaurant was opened in 1992 and offers authentic Latin and Cuban cuisine ranging from tapas and Cuban sandwiches to avocado salad and meat loaf. The restaurant also has a bar featuring a variety of drinks and cocktails. Don't forget to try the restaurant's special Emperadado Cubano.
i got a take out order of the complete chicken platter, and the complete pork platter. I have never eaten pulled pork with such a great flavor and the sauce with the chicken was awesome. I could eat this every day!
I have been to Havana Patio Cafe twice now. Both times the food was excellent and the service was friendly and attentive. I tried the dinner sampler which includes Ropa Vieja, Masas de Puerco Fritas, and Pollo Cubano. I was hoping to find a favorite, but they were all so good I couldn't pick one. Their mojitos and sangria are really good too.
How can you go wrong with a pitcher of Sangria and live entertainment in a quaint and friendly environment? The answer is, you can't. The Havana Patio Cafe is an absolute delight. Authentic Cuban food, prepared to perfection with significant portions and very reasonable prices. The Havana Cafe brings a smile to my face every time I visit.
Located in one of those odd little strip centers that I guarantee you would drive by a thousand times until you either broke down in the parking lot and desided to step inside while waiting for your tow truck, or if you are one of the priveleged locals who know about this culinary paradise.
This is one of the places you should take all of your visiting relatives. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is spectacular. At least one person at the table should try the Ropa Vieja, it is by far my favorite. Although, I have yet to be disappointed by anything on this menu. Try having everyone order a different type of dish and share, you wont be disappointed.
I would be remiss if I didn't mention that The Havana Patio Cafe is a sister location to the Havana Cafe on Camelback. The quality of product at both locations is the same, but I prefer the location on Bell simply for the patio and the staff. Always fun and friendly, this is a TOP 10 in my Phoenix Favorites.
