If you want great food, friendly and NOT snobbish service, beautiful ambiance and world class entertainemnt then Barcelona in North Scottsdale is where you need to be. The definitive location for the who's who and celebs. Loved the steak and lobster dish and the creme brulee is out of this world. This is far and away the best destination restaurant in the valley. No bother for parking - huge lot, plenty of beautiful people for eye candy and very very fun after 10pm when the band starts. Why go to dinner in one spot and then pay a cover in another? Just go to this place and see what they are talking about. We will go back again and again.
I can't agree with these reviews ... sure the place looks good, the people watching is good but the food and value are not great. You feel like you are in a chain restaurant - nothing feels personal here. Go for a drink when the entertainment is playing, they are good, but go elsewhere for food. We wouldn't go back - there are too many other places in Phoenix and Scottsdale that do much better at that price.
My wife and I decided to try this place. After being seated, we were told that there would be a band playing in a little bit. (Which we weren't interested in) We got the menu and really couldn't find anything we liked, there was a lot of seafood, and everything seemed to be ala carte. So we didn't stay, but the place looked nice and the service was higher class. I'm giving it a lower score mainly because the selection of food wasn't very large or to my liking. As a resturant I expected this to be better. The prices also seemed alittle high, but since we didn't order I can't really compare it's quality or quantity to anywhere else.
Eating out on the patio is really primo here... you have the tiki torches lit up, the water misters going and all these beautiful people milling around... I've only been there Thursdays through Saturdays which is when you have a great bit of streamline jazz music sung by two great singers (male/female combo) all dressed up to the nines (he's in a tux or suit and she's in a cocktail dress)... then around 9pm or so the tables are moved out of the center area which becomes a dance floor and voila there you have your nightclub to dance the night away. The two singers that were originally crooning away to you are now changed and have become these hot, sexy rock singers... wow... great show and wonderful dinner/dance combo place. The cons may be that it gets really crowded here on weekends after 9pm but that can also the fun part if you like to watch people.
The service was very rude to my friends and there weren't any vegetarian items on the menu.
They sat you at the bar and then moved you to your table in all of about 2 minutes. The items were over priced as well. Will never eat there again.
Barcelona Restaurant in Scottsdale is one of the best restaurants I have been to. The people are friendly the service is great and the food second to none. Johnny Saleeby the General Manager runs a great team.
