Frank & Lupe's Old Mexico, Scottsdale

Delicious Mexican food, the right amount of spice in the dishes and not heavy food like some try to pass off. Cute little place, good prices. Will make this a regular stop when we're in town.

Frank and Lupe's happy hour was a horrible experience during my birthday party. We were seated, arrived before happy hour ended, and read that appetizers and margaritas were half off. At the end of our meal none of our margaritas or appetizers were adjusted. We asked for a manager but the waitress said he would not come out. He came out after demanding we see a manager. We asked him to adjust our bill and he refused. He was very rude and treated his staff poorly. I never go to this restaurant again. Bad hospitality.

GREAT FOOD- A LITTLE BUSY AT TIMES HAVE TO GO EARLY BEFORE THE RUSH. I HAVE BEEN TO THE REST. IN N.M.- JUST AS GOOD A MUST TRY FOR YOU MEX. FOOD LOVERS. WILL STOP AGAIN ON MY WAY BACK...........

I wasn't a big fan of Mexican food, until I ate here. What a wonderful atmosphere, great food choices and tastes are fantastic. They even paid attention to my need to decrease the heat. Thus, allowing me to experience Mexican food at my own pace. Very unique and authentic. Thumbs up.

THIS PLACE IS SOOO DIRTY, THE SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE, THE DRINKS WERE TERRIBLE, AND THE WORST PART IS THAT I SAW 3 LARGE RATS RUNNING AROUND WHILE I WAS FINISHING MY MEAL. GROSS...RATS, RATS, RATS!!!

The food at Frank & Lupe's is absolutely fantastic!! Without a doubt the best mexican food i have had in az... The prices are unbelievably cheap too... Two can dine and have and amazing meal for less than $30 including tax and tip...I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for the best of the best..........

Wonderful, great value, and good local secret.

Back patio has nice atmosphere. Restaurant is terribly understaffed and service is consistently very slow and very poor as a result. Every time we've been there there's been only 1 server for the entire back patio which is always busy. Service inside isn't much better. The food, however, is good. For the price I'd even say great. The only exception is the margaritas and seafood enchiladas--they're horrible. Never had sopapillas before and they are awesome w/ honey! If you can tolerate the crappy service Frank & Lupe's is a great place for cheap eats in Scottsdale.

The food was wonderful. I had the chicken mole enchiladas and they were very authentic. The rice is the most flavorful I've ever had - with a fresh garlic taste - very nice. I have to agree with some of the reviewers and say that the salsa was way too runny. It wouldn't stay on the chips. The beginning of our dining experience was dedicated to getting the chips from the salsa bowl to our mouths without making drips all over the table. The ambiance is quaint and, for those of us who are a bit claustrophobic, the tables are a bit too close for comfort. We ate in the inside dining room since it was a little bit chilly outside for the patio. But, after a few minutes, I did adjust to the close quarters and it was much better. Our server was very nice and attentive. He was able to answer all our questions, being very knowledgeable about the various menu items. Overall, a very nice experience. I would dine here again, as well as bring out-of-town guests here for authentic Mexican food.
