Low prices. Unlike the average Mexican food. This uses crumbly cheese and green sauces. The prices are cheap, very reasonable and very flavorful. Try the specials of the day and the flan. Absolutely the best flan I've ever had.
You won't believe the prices! Don Giliberto and his crew could easily charge twice what they do for the quality they serve. Go on Monday if you can. The special is Chicken Pipian, a mildly spicy sauce made from pumpkin seeds. It's even better the next day!
I have been hearing good things about this place for the last few months, my husband and I tried tis place for lunch and we were very dissapointed. The food is bland at best. The chips were overcooked and the salsa covered a lack of taste with too much heat. The pork burro was ok and the machaca dish was more like scrambled eggs with a few pieces of stringy, flavorless, tough shredded beef. The tortillas were too chewy and tasted like they had too much flour in them. The guacamole was overpriced and again bland. On the brightside the service is quick and the rice and beans were OK.
I am a Native Arizona resident who has had mexican food in alot of places. What I love about Resteraunt Mexico, is their ability to make a unique dish with out hammering your palet by overspicing the meals.
The resteraunt itself is very comfortable. Although the dining area is small and tight I never felt boxed in. It felt rather homey and welcoming.
I have one judgement about mexican food that usually holds true. If I like the salsa I usually like the food. I loved the salsa.
