Houston's, Scottsdale

I absolutely LOVE Houston's Pork Ribs. They are by far the best I have ever had. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The meat literally falls off the bone and the bbq sauce is so delicious. I crave Houston's ribs at least once a month. Great service, great ambiance, great food!

I have been here twice so far and have to say I have had great service and great food. I had the smoked salmon which is perfection. The New Orleans soup is well put together. I had the chicken ceasar salad which is the best I have ever had. The first time I had the french dip au jus... mouth watering as I think about it. I will be returning tomorrow and will try the baked chicken that I keep reading about. Well worth going to!!!

Very nice bar and comforting layout. I have had ribs all over the country, but these were some of the best I have ever had. Wife had the prime rib which was reall good. Will go back again no question about it.

Great food, even better service, and decent prices. I'm not sure how you could ask for more? Local and Love it!

Mike777 scared me a little. I probably would have given 5 stars but I'm a little creeped out right now. Fortunately, I don't drink margaritas and if I ever start, it won't be here. It's one of our favorite places in town for a little dressing up. The black bean burgers are the best anywhere. Nice atmosphere.

NEVER GO HERE! there is a health hazard I was here with a friend 6 months ago, and we were sitting at the bar, we could see the bartender and he was working. A server gave the bartender an order for some Margaritas...when the bartender was mixing up the drinks, he took out a straw and started tasting the drinks in plain view...he then spit some of the margarita back into the glass. THEN HE SERVES THE DRINKS! and he keeps the same straw in the margarita that he sipped and spit out of. my friend and I asked the manager if he was aware of this...and he said "well, sorry" and he did nothing to reprimand the bartender. What if the bartender had a disease? or an infection? and he ws sipping other people's drinks? DO NOT EVER GO TO HOUSTONS! they are a health hazard and they have no concern for anyone. Terrible sloppy employees and negligent management.

When you don't want to take a chance on something new, you can always go to Houston's and ensure a hit. Consistently excellant!

The only thing I don't like is the jazz music in the background. I wish they would try another genre of music. I love their French dip and the fries. The ribs are quite nice too. I like the staff -- always busy and helpful. Large groups aren't ideal here and it's not for an intimate conversation. We try to go at lunch time to avoid a long wait.

Sexual Descrimination alive and well in Scottsdale! This is my Mom's favorite restaurant in Scottsdale. My Mom, Dad, my girlfriend and I went while I was visiting. My girlfriend and I were wearing tank tops (It's the desert in summer, you know). The hostess went to seat us. I was trailing behind the group a little. I was stopped by another hostess. "I'm sorry sir, our gentlemen customers are required to wear sleeves." Have you ever tried the White Chocolate Grill? What a wonderful restaurant!

Both Houston's location are excellent. Great fish and meats from prime rib to hamburgers. Large portions and reasonable prices. Try the creamed artichokeor smoked trout appetizers. both wonderful. Terrific key lime pie in season. No reservations taken, and alwys a wait (up to an hour sometimes...but worth it.
