Mining Camp Restaurant, Apache Junction

We love the mining camp been eating here almost since the opened. Mining camp has the best food. They have the best ribs I have ever eaten anywhere! The owners are so nice the Staff is so great. Wonderful service. You get to sit at big long wood tables and benchs just like the miners use to eat. With rustic log walls. And you get to eat off tin plates and cups like the miners did. I just love the whole experience. You go away from here very full and satisfied! I love their gift shop out front also they have all kinds of things to look at and I pick up some good books in there every year also. I will be eating there this weekend as they will close for the summer! But I will be back in November when they reopen to!

Tuesday nights are family dinner nights. We always try to find new and exciting places in the valley to try. This is our new favorite place! We will definitely be driving the 45 minute drive back there soon because this meal makes it all worth while. I would strongly suggest this restaurant to ANYONE that enjoys a home cooked meal with the family!!!! My kids including the picky one DEVOURED every part of it!!! I have never had such tender beef ribs! Our server really took the time to cater to our needs and brought us bountiful amounts food. we went there last night. The first time in about 7 years. Inside is very nice and you get the old west feel. The food, however, is not good. We loved the rolls, coleslaw and ribs. The jelly was great too and you get to take it home. The chicken was not roasted, as far as I could tell. The skin was not crisp and the chicken had a strange sweet flavor to it. The ham was totally overcooked and had the flavor cooked right out of it. The service was good, but I don't think we will be back again. A nice place to go once just to experience the atmosphere.

we went to the restaurant last night.(JAN. 1 2011). we took our dogs with us,as i let the dogs out i put my purse in the front seat. not knowing my husband locked the door. me having the dogs and locked out of the car we were in a mess, I thought. i went inside the rest. and the manager was soo helpful. They put my dogs in the office, let us use their phone to call AAA. when AAA got there they still kept the dogs in the office so we could eat, dinner was as good as the last time I was there (25 years ago). We drove 75 miles one way just for a good dinner and the rustic looks and feel.

My family and I regularly venture out to the Mining Camp for dinner. We love the traditional all-you-can-eat meal of ribs, chicken, and ham. We treat all of our out of town guests dine here. Thankfully they have added a new dinner style with a menu as you would have at a regular restaurant, but there is NOTHING regular about it. The food is fantastic in both rooms and they offer a great atmosphere through their old fashioned service and style. Every employee from the gift shop to the kitchen to the management acts as if it is not a job, but more as if it was their family. Their PRIDE shows through their experience, service, and food. Simply the best, and great neighbors as well! My parents brought me here as a kid, and I bring my kids now! The food is awesome, but the views are the best in Arizona. A must for visitors, or for locals looking for old western flavor! Be sure to look around the gift shop.
