Pink Pony Restaurant, Scottsdale

My son & I came to town in 2006 for spring training & found out about The Pink Pony from a local bartender who said it was not to be missed. Boy was he right! I love the Pink Pony, I love that it is old and has character. The wait staff being older in my opinion ROCKS!! This is a great, casual place to go have a good staek and some relaxation. This is not a trendy place, it is a historical landmark. The service, food and atmosphere have always been great everytime I've been there. We send a lot of our out of town business clients there and they always rave about how great it is. It is not for the uptight, it's a place for people who appreciate the character in places that have been around for 50 years! BTW, 10% as a standard tip? I'd have to say I would be mortified if anyone I ever had dinner with left a 10% tip. I've been in the restaurant business for 20 years and I have never heard of that, even 20 years ago when I worked at cheap diner I would have been insulted by that.

Fantastic food, service and great value for money. I ate in there 3 consecutive nights Try the 12oz Ribeye (not to be missed!!!) Waiting staff extremely professional and courteous If you are in Scottsdale you really need to make the effort and try out at least one night if not 2

I've lived in Scottsdale for 9 months and have driven by the Pink Pony quite a few times. I was excited to go, and the experience was what I expected. The steak was great as was the service. Its not a fancy steakhouse, by far, but if those walls could talk, I'm sure they'd have some stories. The prices were great for the portions recieved, and all in all, it was a great meal.

This place was just about the worst restraunt I have ever been to.. it is way over priced for the food we were given. The service was horrible there was one waitress for the whole restraunt, we never recieved refills for our pops. I was also hit on my the bus boys in rude ways. My family is rather large so we got a variety of things on the menu and all of the food was disgusting.. the alfredo tasted like butter, the soup was practically a bowl of water with potatoes in it, the chicken raviolis were even cooked wrong.. we ordered some desert in hopes of filling us up after not being able to eat the food.. some how the the cheesecake was also very disgusting it was very watered down and runny.

At first when my wife wanted to go in the door I thought it was a strip joint, but it was like a time machine--A Walk Back to The Fifties---the ambiance was like an old club set up for a party--rounded booths--long rows of tables with crisp tablecloths and napkins--the food was great, we ate there for lunch 2 days in a row, even brought the kids and grandkids--how about a strip steak sandwich with fries or a filet mignon steak sandwich--$13!! Or lunch specials the next day of prime rib about a pound cut for $9 talk about a choice and a deal==it was cool inside and 105 outside a little dark inside but the bartender was sure making cool drinks!! The waitress was great--a 19 year employee fun food drink--THE PINK PONY--what a find--you will find me there the next time we are in Phoenix!!!!
