Native New Yorker

Description

Famous for hot and spicy wings, this restaurant serves up four tons of them a week! Sport posters and pendants dot the walls between the 12 TV sets. A separate bar area features a decent selection of domestic and imported beer and of course, wings. For a true native New Yorker experience, try the Weck & Wings, a big pile of roast beef on a homemade kummelweck rollserved with wings, naturally.

Actually writing the review for the one next to Cabela's. The best price on wings is Tuesday at 30cents apiece, half off the regular price. Nice inside, with plenty of TVs for your viewing pleasure. Loaded fries another good bet during happy hour for half off. Service varies and it is reflected in my tip. I've been there many times and have only had to complain once. Management always made it right. I've also had the sliders and they were pretty tasty, but usually go for the spicy honey mustard wings. The fried zuchini is another good bet. I haven't really had entrees other than the BBQ Chicken pizza, which is decent. Did I mention lots of TVs? Usually friendly staff.

Food is good, but the prices have REALLY went up. We went to have wings and they were now so expensive we just had pizza. Way too much to pay for wings! I think they have won a few awards for their wings and now think they can charge whatever they want. We went on a Saturday and if the empty chairs were any indication maybe they should rethink their prices. We will go elsewhere...

Avoid this location at all costs
By ,
I am a big fan of the Native New Yorkers around town and was happy that there was one opening in the neighborhood I just moved to. My first experience was very bad. I ordered pizza and wings for pickup one night. The service at the pickup window was horrible, the pizza was cold (and with wrong toppings) and the wings were not very good. This location was a huge letdown compared to the others around the valley. I decided to give them another chance tonight and phoned in an order. This experience was even worse. I waited for over an hour, my order was incorrect 3 times, and when they finally did get me my food they forgot to include the sides. I finally just gave them the food back and got a refund. While I was waiting I kept hearing similar complaints from other customers about incorrect orders and long wait times. To add insult to injury, it was not a busy night and I never received any kind of apology for the poor service and excessive wait.

Never Again

My first experience at this chain and it was horrible. Service was bad and the food was worse. Over cooked (almost burnt) calamari, stale hard as a rock hot dog bun on a kids meal and onion on a pizza we order no onions. Then manager offer no apologies and finally took of just 20% that didn't cover the cost of the bad pizza. Save your money and buy a Costco pizza. The Costco Pizza tast better and is a better value.

Great sports bar
By ,
This resturant is probably the best place to bring friends for a casual night out. The food is great and you definitly get your moneys worth! The service was kind of slow and our waitress kept forgetting things like silverware and what not but once we got it, the food was Great! Have fun!

Expensive
By ,
When I was in college and they were priced more reasonably I used to love going to Native. Since then they have jacked up their prices(ie. $2.50 for a soda) and taken some favorites off of the menu(no more mini-burgers). When we asked why their prices were so much higher than their competitors the manager gave a pat lie and walked away. This is a oud sports bar and not a family place.

Awesome wings!
By ,
The best wings out there. There service is only okay, it seems that they allot a lot of tables per server, but most of their food is really good. There sandwiches and salads are awesome, but their wings you can't beat!

Stick with the Wings -
If your looking for a good pizza, don't go here. This place is famous for it's wings. We ate here thinking we were going to get a great NY style pizza, we quicklyh learned otherwise.
