Legendary Food, Legendary Service(R), and Legendary Fun! At Texas Roadhouse, we take pride in everything we do from hand-cut steaks and fall-off-the-bone ribs, to some pretty sweet margaritas. And we do it all with one goal 4 to give your family a place to go for great food and good times at a fantastic price.
Don t order the Texas T-Bone. They served me two (first returned). Both oily, tough, and tasted like they were microwaved. Seriously! My Mug-a-Rita for $2.50? They charged me $12 for two drinks. Go to Chinese buffett.
Subpar for the price and the wait. The food isn't generally bad, and is occasionally great. The rolls up front are smoking and often take the place of an appetizer. Be careful to look over the silverware. We once found gunk in the clean forks which caused us all to look at all of our silver ware with appalling results. The manager that time was decent but since then we have always checked and not been impressed.
Texas Roadhouse was once one of my favorite restaurants, that is until I found two band-aids in my mashed potatoes. They were tan band-aids, not blue like restaurants are required to use for obvious reasons, and therefore blended in with the potato skins. I took a bite and chewed and chewed, finally gave up and spit it out. That's when I realized I had been chomping down on someones used band-aids. I called the server over and she called her manager. He quickly whisked the plate away (taking the evidence of course) and comped our meal. We left, but soon realized that I needed to get a copy of the incident report. We went back to the location and they sat us down and took down the report then. The manager on duty hadn't even made a note that anything had happened. After that I got multiple calls and letters from their lawyers basically telling me that they didn't believe me and that they wouldn't do anything for me and that I shouldn't pursue it anymore unless I got a lawyer myself. Luckily for them, I got a blood test and it came back negative, but I will never eat at another Texas Roadhouse again. After being lied to, disrespected and CHEWING ON SOMEONES USED BAND-AIDS they don't deserve the business.
I have eaten at several stores including this one in the past. I have never had a bad meal, actually they were all great. I have told everyone I have the chance to about the great food. Saturday March the 28 of this year I took my wife and family out to eat at the mesa store on Stapley. It was the worst meal I have had anywhere for a long time. The 16 0z prime rib was almost a third fat, and not a good cut, terrible. The baked sweet potatoe was burned and all dried up the skin was black. The wattress looked right at it when it was served. Did nothing. very disappointed not up to par. Very bad food. We sat under a air cond duct we all froze durning the meal. Please set the air for the comfort of the diners not the servers. I know at their pace I'm sure it's warm for them.
I ate at Texas Roadhouse on Stapely on 10/28. We arrived at 3:30 and ordered two 6 oz sirloin steaks that we assumed would be at the special price of $7.99. Neither one of the steaks were cooked as we requested, medium rare. One was under cooked and was sent back and was then satisfactory. The other was cooked well done, but was accepted any way. When the bill arrived I did not feel well and paid it without checking the charges. When I looked at the receipt later, I found we were charged $8.99 for the steaks and .99 for one loaded, which we did not order anything extra. I feel we were overcharged $3.oo which isn't much, but it would have bought a gallon of gas, which considering the current financial problems would have helped us. I have eaten at Texas Roadhouses in other states and this experience was not up to the level of my other experiences.
I have been eating at these restaurants since 1988 when I was living in Louisville, Ky and I have not been disappointed in any of these eateries, regardless of their locale. Good food at reasonable prices and consistently good customer service have kept me going back (although I find my disposable income less than it was back then).
We love Texas Roadhouse. The service is excelent and so is the food. The steaks are cooked to perfection. They serve a generous portion of side dishes. They offer fresh rolls. They also serve peanuts and you can toss the shells on the floor if you choose to do so.
We frequent this Texas Roadhouse and we just keep on coming back. We have gone to other establishments and paid far more for our steaks and gotten much lesser quality. Texas Roadhouse is the place for THE BEST STEAKS ever plus the service and atmosphere is fantastic also. The only let down is the long waits but then popularity does that - so its not too much of a bad thing!!
