El Charro Restaurant, Mesa

No star should be giving..They are not up to code for handicap in wheel chair..i went there requested a table waiter seat us at booth whith a chair at end of table.Managment request that we leave ..empty beer bottle in parking lot.....this place is not handicap friendly...didnt get to taste food , but if there action towards the handicap ; i am pretty sure the food would be poor quailty too.

I heard about this place from a co-worker so I decided to try their food..The place could use so updating and the food was not very good..we ordered beef tacos and I m convinced we were not eating beef..we asked the waitress and she said the meat was beef but it had a weird texture and taste..I ve had better food at other restaurants..I will not eat here again

My family went there when it opened {before I was born } and we never stopped going. Any little change they did make in the decor upset the daylights out of me because I do want it to stay the same. If it is a LANDMARK restaurant, duh....then keeping the place as original as possible is best. It's typical these days, shallow types wanting everything to be NEW as if that means anything. Same people would have a cow if they went to Europe and saw all the "old" stuff over there { !!!!!! }. I hope they never change a thing in El Charro again. Let the whiners go someplace "new".

Ordered food at St Clair Shores location, when I arrived home found I did't get my whole order, called and explained, Joe said he would make a note in the book and when I came back I would receive two extra taco's. Called there today ...guess what???? My name was not in book and Joe is gone... (maybe Joe took my taco's) That was my last trip to El Charro's....

This place is everything I stand for. They stick with their suppliers, i.e. Crown Royal Cola, and Michelob through thick and thin. My parents started going here back in 1962. It's a classic. Great food, Great atmospere. If you don't like it, please step aside so the rest of us don't have to wait. If they do so many things wrong, as some of you Micky D's afficianados say, why have they been in business sooooooo long???????????????

I have lived in Mesa for 12 years and have seen the crowds of people go into this reastaurant. So We thought I but they are wonderful they get so many people. Yuck. first you walk in and I dont think they have bought new chairs or tables in 200years they are all greasy and too used and not that old used stuff is bad but I ouldnt even give the table and chairs to goodwill.. time to UPDATE, to CLEAN and re- FRESH. The food was not good, no flavor and what is up with the soda selection? an update and redo menu is needed. Sorry I love having old restaurants in mesa it make Mesa a better place but you still need to work on the old stuff to keep it fresh and flavor-full..

I have been eating at El Charro when it was on main st. & Country Club I love their food.

I love this restaurant. This is a place I love to go to. The food is good, the service is good and quick and this place is always busy. I love Mexican food and enjoy this place.

This restaurant closes too long into September. My moms birthday is September 16 and sometimes it is not open on her birthday and she really likes this restaurant she has been going there since the early 1960's

I currently live in Vail Colorado and when I visit my folks in Apache Junction I have to make at least one or two trips to this resturnat. I love the Green Chile Burros, the salsa and chips are great, I have never had a bad meal here and I have been coming back for over 15 years. I hope they are open over Memorial day this year since I will be there and expect to have a meal or two.
