What a dump. Frozen food reheated. Crummy salad bar that had to used over and over. Never again. Also, wayyyy overpriced.

Eight of us went for dinner and it was an uneven experience. The service was slow and one person's food was definitely overcooked, especially since someone else had the same dish and it was done right. Most of us were very satisfied with our meals, but it was not perfect.

hi-we were in your bavarian restaurant on 03/06/2010. i am a very discriminating person when it comes to german food.we found your gasthaus on internet, when we drove up, i said to my husband-i dont know!?we walked in and pleasantly surpised by the casual but elegant tablecloth and napkin set tables, decor and music.very CLEAN! your saladbar looked very fresh and inviting.we were friendly greeted and invited to seat. your menu made me very exited for a authentic german meal.my husband who was stationed in germany ordered bier with a jaegerschnitzel spaetzle and blaukraut-and i came at the right time, as suggested by our waitress to try gefuellte kalbsbrust(stuffed veal breast) which is a delicacy in schwabia region for every hausfrau to make for special occasions -it was very delicious, your spaetzle and gravy (soessle) as a schwaebin, perfect!Thank you to your chef and staff for making this a special occasion!!! we will be back next year.in the meantime have told many of our friends about your place.

I have been to Germany several times that last few years, and I go to this place whenever I feel homesick. The food is as close to that you will find in Germany/Austria as you can get stateside. Great food and beer selection.

Service was poor, food was ok. But don't come between 3pm to 5pm
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/7/09
We arrived at 3:30 pm for a late lunch. After waiting to be seated, we flagged down a bus boy & asked to be seated. He told us to pick any place to sit. We noticed there was only one table that was occupied with 2 patrons. The bus boy served us water and it was 10 minutes before our waitress gave us luncheon menus. The bus person delivered bread and butter for us to much on while we waited to place our order. After placing our order, it was another long wait for our food. Although the wait for the food preparation was lengthy the food was OK. After the meals were delivered we had to ask our food server for our beverages. We were offered a refill of our beverages but none came. We flagged down another bus person and asked if they could refill our glasses with water and provide a refill of tea & Pepsi. The bus person brought a pitcher of water, & pitcher of tea and left it on the table. We had to ask another bus person if they could please provide a refill on Pepsi. They did so with a smile. If you decide to come, give yourself extra time for waiting. Service was poor, but food was ok.

I ate my New Years Eve dinner here. I opted for ther sauerbraten, red cabbage dumplings and salad. It took a little while to order. I ate half a loaf of bread while waiting. I enjoyed my meal. I was with a fairly large party and the table was a little bit crowded. The location is modest. It's next to a bar, motorcycle leather shop coin laundry and massage parlor. Don't let the neighborhood keep you from going in. The food was good.

Great food and gemutlichkeit
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/08
Don't come here unless you're REALLY hungry! The meals are huge but delicious. Good hearty German fare, and lots of scrumptious German beer to wash it down. Be sure to make reservations -- they get crowded, especially in the winter.

Almost like home!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/3/08
There are people who complain that the service is slow and it takes ages to get the food. Those people are mired in the fast food rut. Yes, it takes longer than elsewhere but the dumplings and the spaetzle are made fresh - they are not swimming in the water, waiting for a customer. Although it is Bavarian cooking, it tastes almost like home >> almost because of the still-existing regional variations found in Germany. You know the food is home-cooked when you find a bay leaf in the sauce and you know that it is home-cooked because not everything tastes the same: sauces frome from the meat, not from McCormick.

Bavarian Point Restaurant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/13/08
Bavarian Point is spot on German food! Each dish has a seperate taste, unlike other restaurants that uses the same spices on every dish they prepare. The entree's are made to order. If you are in a hurry, if you just want something fast....go to Mcdonalds. This restaurants is exactly what it should be..an experience. Order a authentic German beerf(or a great price), home made Bratwurst for appetizer or just sample salads etc. from the salad bar. Enjoy the German music being played. I recommend going on the days Friday through Tuesday. The reason being is the waitress there on these days is wonderful and sweet. She is like the perfect German grandma. She will visit, if you give her a chance to take time with running her part of the restaurant. I truly believe the owners of this restaurant do not see the gem they have working for them. The food will bring you back but she will keep you coming. prepare an hour for dinner, The service is not quick but it is definitely A+.
