We had a very nice experience for our first time at this restaurant. Based on reviews I read here and because it was halfway between us and my cousin who was only in town for tonight, we decided to try it. We all love the decor, a lot of fun Mexican/Spanish things to look at and the tiles, stone wall...gave it a nice atmosphere. The service was good and the food was quite good. Though it's not the best Mexican food I've ever had...it was very fresh and tasty so I'm giving them the 5 star rating....and we'll most likely visit again when relatives come to town. I think it's a fun place that our East coast friends/family would enjoy.
This is our, hands down, favorite place to get Mexican food. The atmosphere and waitstaff are wonderful and the food is always great and prepared correctly!
currently getting worse and worse. going cheap. more lard, more farmed junk fish tacos.b4 the round of cuts, cod fish tacos, better and healthy food. several cuts to the menu has put customers health at risk.just look toward the stroke belt. putting profit ahead of healthy fare.
I went here for the first time after my friends told me I "had to go!" The parking was a mess, but the building was so unique that I didn't care that I had to circle about 3 times before finding a spot. Every inch of the inside is decorated and inviting. We had a little wait but it wasn't too bad seeing as there was plenty to look at. I ordered their Chili Relleno which was very very good. I'm not quite sure what the chili was stuffed with but I would eat it in anything! Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant throughout the night. I had a great experience...I guess my friends know what they are talking about!
Tia Rosa's has the best gourmet Mexican food and great margaritas. The ambiance is like being in Mexico. It is a great place to take out-of-town guests. The grilled salmon enchiladas are amazing.
I love the atmosphere and food at Tia Rosas. I have been both to the restaurant and the smaller more casual dining on the other sideo f the parking lot. The wait can be long and parking hard during the weekends but it shows the popularity of the food. If you have kids I would recommend the more casual restaurant. Food it great and some what different than the normal mexican flare. Avoid the tamales is my only advice.
The Mexican food here is pretty good. I personally enjoy the chiles rellenos a lot. Also, their dipping salsa for the chips is very delicious. Although the service is not the best in the world, they are certainly very friendly. The price is great, the food is good, what more can you ask for?
I love this restaurant. We have been coming here since 2006 and try to eat here as often as we can. I heard an unconfirmed rumor that the ownership changed in early 2009 and I was afraid that perhaps the menu would change but so far, as of fall 2009, it is still just as good as it has ever been. I am not really concerned about the debate of whether this is real Mexican or TexMex. Whatever else it might be, it is good food. The mole is very good and their salsa is fantastic. I have tried several of their menu items and I have never had a meal I did not like. The ambiance is nice though in can get noisy in the main dining room. A very good place to eat.
The is a fun setting with great food. In a neighborhood, away from strip malls..you think you're in Mexico. The food is wonderful and the drinks yummy!
They have great food. The salsa was fantastic i was amazed. Good atmosphere. Loved this place when I went. The prices are good as well. I will definitly go again.
