What started as a tiny little shack in Scottsdale has grown into arguably the Valley's best known and loved Cajun eatery. Chef/owner Kay "Baby Kay" Romero serves up Cajun classics like etouffee , gumbo and po'boys in an expanded Phoenix restaurant. All the Cajun staples can be found here with an emphasis on spice and southern seafood (catfish, crawfish). A good selection of Louisiana beers is available to wash down these exquisite delicacies.
Hey, we had to go on Phoenix on business, and our hotel was in the Biltmore Camelback section of PHX, typically pretty dull. We wandered around this old mall next to the hotel and found Baby Kay's. Sal-vation on a Tuesday nite. We got the Pork Chop Special, downed some Hurricanes, in honor of mopping up after Katrina and laughed a lot. We EVEN got to take home some very tacky plastic crawfish necklaces, which we love dearly.
