average pizza dont believe the hype.
the second time we went they said the wait for a pizza was 30min. the place was empty.
pizza cooks in 7min. the sandwich i got in stead wasn't nothing to write queens about.
On 10/6/07, My girlfriend and I waited 5 minutes to be seated. Three employees saw us, made eye contact and kept walking by. We were ignored! I finally called out to one of the waitors, who then seated us outside, but never returned to serve us. Later two other employees came out to clean tables and never inquired if we were being served (we did not even receive a glass of water). After about 20 minutes of being ignored again, I finally got angry and walked inside and spoke with the manager. The employee who seated us was wiping dishes and looked embarrassed when I told the manager about the POOR QUALITY OF SERVICE we received. The manager could not give us an explanation why we were being ignored, but tried to keep me from saying in front of everyone that we were being discriminated against. There was no other expanation, so we left the restaurant! It was as if the employees never wanted us there. Maybe if we were white, we would have never been ignored and humiliated. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. We are two New Yorkers on vacation, who now believe this restaurant is a disgrace to NEW YORK and New Yorkers.
i dont like the fact that the manager trains the witress to leave unsecure credit card at the table after advising witress that the customer will be in the restroom. Anyone could walk by and take the card. I feel if anything happen to my card the witresses are held respondible.
NYPD Pizza in the Camelback Colonade is a great little place for casual, no-fuss dining. The pizza is excellent, along with many of their pasta dishes. I have heard really good things about their cazones, but I have not ordered one yet do to the 20-30 minute prep time. The prices are reasonably cheap, and the service is friendly. Recommended.
