Super Dragon offers all of the standards, and a fairly good selection of vegetarian options in a casual, comfortable space. The chef comes from Great Wall, one of the west side's most popular Asian eateries. It's kind of a surprise to find tablecloths and cloth napkins at a neighborhood place, but it adds a slight sophistication to the otherwise simple decor. House specialties include XO string beans, made with Chinese long beans; scallop and shrimp croquettes; chicken lettuce wraps; Hunan chicken and whole steamed sea Bass.
We lived in Phoenix for 30 years and never found this great Chinese restaurant until we moved to Payson. Our married daughter found Super Dragon. Although we have a chinese place in Payson, we come down here twice a month to get our fix! Best Chinese food we have ever tasted - you won't be disappointed. Awesome egg rolls, egg drop soup, chicken fried rice, chicken lettuce wraps.... the list goes on and on. Great value also - you won't go home hungry!
Good food that used to be great food. Also, the food should be hotter temperature- wise. Pretty good service, although the hostess is a bit brusque, impatient and even harsh at times, and the female server acts like she does not want to serve you. And, you are barely allowed to finish any appetizers before they bring out your entree. That is not good. Needs another bathroom, too.
The quality of the food is excellent and worth more than what I paid. I will always go back there for Chinese food! It is quiet enough that I can carry a conversation. The staff was extremely attentive.
Always looking for a different Chinese Restaurant that does not use MSG
Guess we found it but was not happy. The servers did the best they could but heres the issues. When I order two main orders and than an order of
pork fried rice I do not like to get the rice first, use it as an appetizer and than get my two meals. All three items were warm and not hot. If the health department came in and thats the temp of the food in the kitchen they would not get an OK. We went out to enjoy and you know I just dont feel like having an issue with the temp of the food when I go out.
Yep I didnt say anything because its such a small place and did not want to create an issue. So we ate warm food, paid for warm food, left a nominal tip since we were not happy and left. Im going back to my old
no MSG place on Dunlap and maybe 51st Ave. Try the Happy Family, its
