I agree with everyone, that this place used to be good but is now terrible. My sister ordered take out the other day and called to tell me not to go to this place again. Very sad. Wonder what happened.
Terrible just horrible. I never felt so compelled to write a bad review. Service was awful, food tasted canned or worse. Please don't waste your time or your money. Server was insulting, didn't even offer us something to drink, we had to call him over for anything. Food tasted like ketchup.
This used to be a good place...I have been twice now in July 2008 and overall it is not very good. Very little chicked in the dishes, bland, and over-priced. Plus I understand that they made the news with several health department violations this past week. By far the best indian place is down on 16th st and Campbell.
My friends and I have enjoyed everything we've eaten at Taste of India. Love their garlic naan, and their lamb boti saag. The complimentary papadum with a mint condiment are delicious and a nice extra. The service was very attentive, if not cheery. The only negative is cleanliness - visible dirt on tablecloth, blinds, wall. Some sprucing up and regular upkeep would make a big difference, bringing the ambience up to the level of the food.
I have gone to this restaurant for about 4 years, not always by my own choice, always got the feeling to never go back again. Food is decent, but they spoil the experience with their service. For whatever reason, they seem to serve you like we are getting a big favor. This restaurant should go out of business. Try Tandoori times instead.
