Wanted good lumpia and pancit for a family party. Saw their online ordering even got a confirmation. Went to pick up the food 1/2 hr before the gathering and the restaurant did not have order. Showed them the confirmation number via email message. NEVER do that again. Sorry I could not rescind the tip! Not a good way to do business folks.
Visiting Phoenix from April 21st to May 9th for a company training, I (being a filipino) was getting sick of eating the typical western foods even ones from classy restaurants. Having the lengthy stay just made me missed the home cooked filipino food so, I decided to look something up in the internet and found Casa Filipina Bakeshop and Restaurant. Being just a visitor, I was shy and unconfortable at first. However, after having a conversation with the hosts I felt very welcomed as they are very friendly people. The food was also great although, they thought I didn't enjoy it at first because I ate very fast. Bilis ko daw kumain at hindi naubos. But the fact of the matter is...the portions were a lot for the price you pay for one person. It's just unfortunate that I'm a person who loves food but only eats little at a time. Just want to take this opportunity to thank those two ladies at the front desk for the warm filipino welcome. Specially the young one...sana walang magagalit if I comment you for your kagandahan as well. Thanks and hope to see you guys again as I'll be in and out of Phoenix occasionally. Take care.
As Soon as we arrived from Maine, my wife and me found Casa filipina bakeshop and restaurant thru the internet Today 01/11/08, we had a few dishes that included Lechon Kawali, Chicken curry, Pork Adobo, Embutido and their Delicious Siopao, i've never tried such delicious and fineFilipino food, except when my mother use to cook my meals at home, i've tried filipino food in several states in the USA, Casa Filipina is the Best Filipino Food i've ever had .
You have no idea how happy I was when I found a Filipino Bakery. Fresh pan de sal! This is one of the few Filipino eats that I've introduced my husband to, and he loves it! I tried the beef mami with siopao. That was really yummy and all at an affordable price. I hope they'll be around for a long time, cause I don't know where else, short of moving to California, that I can get fresh baked pan de sal.
Casa Filipina Bakeshop is the first bakeshop in Arizona ever, and the best thing i've like about it is the freshness of their products, they do everyhing from start to finish, you can get hot pan de sal every day, something that filipino never experienced here in AZ. they have Variations of Ube from Puto to ube Pianono, Suman saligia, sunsrival, Fresh Siopao every day, Cassava cake, Bibingka and a lot more filipino delicacies, i recommend this little Great Specialty bakery to everyone, that's why i gave it a 5 star overall experience.
