Demae, Provo

My friend and I just had lunch at Demae and loved it! The miso soup was wonderful; the nigiri was fresh and tasty; and the roll we had was delicious. Our service was excellent. We had no complaints and will definitely be going back very soon.

I've tried a lot sushi restaurant around Provo, and I think the best sushi restaurant would be Demae Japanese restaurant, the service was pretty bad before, but now its way better, and also the price is pretty cheap, especially on Tuesday and Thursday sushi special is so cheap its only $3.95 per roll. they doesn't charge you a 18% tips anymore and I would strongly recommend the jumbo tiger shrimp tempura and the crystal roll.

The worst service I have received in years. Not only bad, but they were actually rude on multiple occassions. It's too dang bad they have good deals, otherwise, I'm sure they'd be out of service by now. The food isn't Happy Sumo or a nicer place but it's not bad by any means and it meets a craving.

DeMae has a sushi specials on Tuesday and Thursday, which are great! Probably the least expensive sushi around. Although the service isn't the best, and the place does get busy sometimes, it is worth it. All of the sushi is really good, and you have to try the fried ice cream. Great price and food!!

This food and prices are great but dont expect to be wowed by the service. Do expect to receive your drink first then your main course, then an appetizer and then whatever else you ordered that you had to remind them about 2 or 3 times. The atmosphere is nice and the prices and good food keep me coming back...despite the horrible service.

It is very authentic sushi. Every tuesday they have a special where any roll is $3 and a nigiri is $2. The lines can be a pain, but it is well worth it.

This small Japanese restaurant is ideally located in central Provo. The setting is pretty intimate because of the small size of the restaurant. Restaurant is clean although it wouldn't win awards for looks or decorations. The prices are comparable to other Japanese restaurants. If you get the daily special, the price is hard to beat. Customer service is satisfactory. The food came quickly but our drinks didn't get re-filled for some time. The biggest plus is that the food is yummy! I have yet to find something I don't like. Overall, this is good Japanese food for the price.
